Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM) held its annual general meeting in 2012. The goal is to prevent mortality and reduce the burden of malaria through strengthening local and national malaria control capabilities. Objectives include promoting malaria awareness, distributing long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets and anti-malarial drugs, and supporting research. Activities discussed innovative projects providing bed nets, indoor residual spraying, microscopes and drugs for malaria treatment in countries like Papua New Guinea and East Timor. The presentation provided dates for upcoming malaria conferences and awareness days, and contact information for donations.
