These road closures are installed during severe flooding to prevent floodwaters from inundating the City. However, since installation, a number of the sill plates have become loose; a few have cracks; some sound hollow, and may have voids in the concrete beneath the sill plate. The City wants to ensure the voids beneath the plates are filled in order to ensure optimum performance and reduce maintenance issues. 1 Earnest Money Deposit Rs. 6.66 Cr in the form of Demand Draft / FDR / Bank Guarantee.
2 Mobilisation Advance 10 % of contract value against BG of 100% in two or more
instalments. Interest @ 10% per annum. 2nd and subsequent
instalments shall be released only after furnishing of proof of
satisfactory utilization of earlier instalment. Recovery shall be start
after achieving gross work done of 10% of CV and recovery along
with interest shall be done in such a rate so that the whole
recovery may be completed within completion of 80% of CV.
3 Secured Advance @ 75% of assessed value of non perishable material. On perishable
material secured advance may by granted as per the opinion of
Superintending Engineer.
4 Performance Guarantee 2% of contract value valid up DLP + 28 days. PBG shall be submitted
within 15 days from the date of LOA.
5 Security / Retention Money A sum of 8% shall be deducted from each R/A bills. 50% shall be
released after 06 months of completion and rest shall be released
after DLP.

6 Interim Payment The amount admissible shall be paid by 10th working day after the day
of presentation of the bill by the contractor to the Engineer-in-Charge
or his Assistant Engineer. Minimum monthly bill value is 5 cr.
7 Final Bill Payment The final bill shall be submitted by the contractor within three months
of physical completion of the work or within one month of the date of
the final certificate of completion furnished by the Engineer-in-Charge
whichever is earlier. Payment will be made within 4 months from the
date of receipt of the Bill.
8 Taxes & Duties All tendered rates shall be inclusive of all taxes and levies payable
under respective statutes. However, pursuant to the constitution (46th
amendment) act 1982, if any further tax or levy is imposed by statute
after the last stipulated date for the receipt of tender including
extensions if any and the contractor thereupon necessarily and
properly pays such taxes / levies the contractor shall be reimbursed
the amount so paid, provided such payments, if any, is not, in
the opinion of the Chief Engineer (whose decision shall be
final and binding on the contractor) attributable or delay in
execution of work within the control of the contractor.
9 Liquidated Damages 2% of CV per month delay maximum up to 10% of CV. 1% of the
tendered value of work will be with hold for failure of each Mile stone.

10 Site Infrastructure The contractor shall be provided adequate area for construction of
storage/ office space for his use. The space has to be maintained/
constructed by the contractor as per his usage requirements.
11 Land for Labour Hutment The contractor to submit the Project Management Plan
showing the material storing yard, Batching Plant , facilities
for labour ( Accommodation, toilets etc.),approach roads,
site office of owner, PMC and Contractor, location for
preservation of top soil, staging and spill prevention
measures, erosion and sedimentation control measures
etc. The plan should be such that area of disturbance
should be minimum and get the same approved by
Engineer-In-charge prior to start of work at site.

the Arbitrator, the same shall be paid by both the parties equally.
18 Defect Liability Period 36 months from date of completion.
19 Bonus 1% of the CV per month computed on per day basis subject to a
maximum limit of 5% of CV.
20 Base Rate Not Applicable
21 Escalation Applicable as per clause 10CC.
22 EPF & ESI The contractor shall be responsible for all statutory
provisions and deductions towards ESI, PF or any other, as
the case may be or any other levies and taxes shall be
borne by the contractor. No claim in this regard shall be
entertained.
