CULTURE OF ASSAM
• The culture of Assam, a state in
northeastern India, is rich and diverse,
shaped by its unique geographical
location, historical influences, and ethnic
diversity. Assam's culture reflects the
blend of various ethnic groups, languages,
and traditions, making it a fascinating
mosaic of different customs and
practices.
CULTURE OF RAJASTHAN
• The culture of Rajasthan includes many
artistic traditions that reflect the
ancient Indian way of life. Rajasthan is
also called the "Land of Kings". It has
many tourist attractions and facilities for
tourists. This historical state
of India attracts tourists and vacationers
with its rich culture, tradition, heritage,
and monuments. It also has some wildlife
sanctuaries and national parks.
LANGUAGE AND
LITERATURE OF ASSAM
• Languages:Assamese is the official
language of the state. However, other
languages spoken include Bodo, Bengali,
Karbi, and various indigenous languages
• Literature: Assamese literature is the body
of writings spoken chiefly in the Assam
state of India. Prahlada Charitra is
probably one of the earliest Assamese
write-ups written by the 13th- century
poet Hema Saraswati. In this, the story
from Vishnu- Purana was written in heavy
Sanskritized style.

here is Assamese, and there are numerous

• Literature: Rajasthani literature has a

artists even in the modern era.

• Assam is characterized by its diverse
geographical features, including the fertile
Brahmaputra River valley, plains, hills, and
the vast wetlands known as the
Brahmaputra floodplains. The state is
prone to annual floods, which are both a
blessing and a curse as they enrich the soil
but also cause widespread damage.

• The geographic features of Rajasthan are
the Thar Desert and the Aravalli Range,
which runs through the state from southwest
to northeast, almost from one end to the
other, for more than 850 kilometres
(530 mi). Mount Abu lies at the southwestern
end of the range, separated from the main
ranges by the West Banas River, although a
series of broken ridges continues
into Haryana in the direction of Delhi where
it can be seen as outcrops in the form of
the Raisina Hill and the ridges farther north.
About three-fifths of Rajasthan lies
northwest of the Aravallis, leaving two-fifths
on the east and south direction.

with Bihu being the most popular. Bihu is
a set of three agricultural festivals, namely
Rongali Bihu, Bhogali Bihu, and Kongali
Bihu, which mark the different stages of
the agricultural cycle.

the capital of Rajasthan and a part of
the Golden Triangle. The Walled City of
Jaipur is a UNESCO World Heritage
Site and is only the second Indian city to
be recognized, after Ahmedabad.

• Assam is famous for its exquisite
handicrafts, including intricate silk
weaving, bamboo and cane products, and
traditional pottery.

• BLUE POTTERY
• Blue pottery is a well-known craft from
Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is a mix of Persian
decorative art and Chinese glazing
technology. The name comes from the
vibrant cobalt-blue dye colour that is used
for making flower vases, crockery,
lampshades, serving trays, jewellery boxes
and more. They are embellished with
vibrant blue and golden bird, animal and
flower motifs.
