Rajasthan has a strong tourism industry but was ranked only 10th among domestic tourists in India in 2014. It allocated 100 crore rupees to tourism marketing, launching an advertising campaign called "Jane Kya Dikh Jaye?" meaning "What will you discover?". The campaign aims to get people to discover Rajasthan's offerings for themselves through stories and imagery representing the state's culture like camels and folk music. The outcome was an increase in both domestic and foreign tourists, with domestic visits reaching 17.75 lakhs and foreign visits 366.65 lakhs, contributing more to the state's GDP.
