When I (Joe) was invited to Big Nerd Ranch to talk about how creativity and technology are connected, I was excited to have the opportunity, and I thought long and hard about what I could say that I thought could be really helpful to the people who would be there.
I don't want to preach about being creative. I don't want to tell people to follow their bliss or do what they love. If you're the kind of person who's going to do what you love and follow your passion, you probably don't need to hear another talk about that.
So I thought, what's the opposite of that? And the best way I've found to express it so far is: “Creating is more powerful than Being Creative.”
This is a talk about what it means to create things in the real world.
