•Radio dramas can often be
“overcrowded” with too much talking
as if ever moment of a drama has to
be filled. I feel that silence is an
important part of a drama as it can
make things tense and can help the
listener envision what is going on

3. Conventions
• There are several different conventions that
people use to engage their audience and keep
people listening.
• The most common ways of doing this are for the
characters situations to develop or change this in
turn will help the listener relate or feel bad for the
characters.
• Cliff-hangers are also a really good way to add
suspense to a radio drama and keep the listeners
tuned in for future episodes.

4. Style
•Style is one of the most important
things to bare in mind when creating a
radio drama , you want everything to
suit your demographic so since my is
a young teenage audience everything
needs to be modern , cool and up to
date so that they can relate too it.

5. Structure
• The structure of your radio drama is
incredibly important , you need to bare in
mind how long the production is going be
and how long the attention span of your
audience is.
• Its also important to figure out if you want a
narrator in the production e.g. “they walked
into a wide open room” or “once upon a
time”
