As you can see the highest number of people buy magazine on a monthly basis, this is mostly due to the fact that most magazines bring out a copy monthly, not weekly. As shown in the graph below, I can see that images are the main focus for music magazines, second being colour and third font. 26.67% buy magazines weekly, and 16.67% buying them twice a month. With half of the people asked saying that images are most important it shows that pictures need to be carefully selected before being used.
85% of the students asked have said that having a celebrity on the cover of a magazine will increase what they will read. 60% of the students read music magazines, as appose to 40% not reading any at all. This shows that just over half of the students read music magazines This shows the effect that a celebrity can have on someone buying a cover just due to them being on it. The 15% that said that they don’t think a celebrity will increase readership proves that some people buy magazines for it’s content.  I didn’t find these results surprising as not everyone enjoys music, and even more don’t enjoy it enough to read about it.
