What kind of media
institution might distribute
  your media product and
            why?
      Evaluation Question Three
Media Institution

- A media institution is described as an "established, often-
profit based organization, that deal in the creation and
  distribution of advertising, entertainment and
  information services."

- With our film being aimed at a relatively broad audience,
it may be appropriate for the film to be distributed by a
large organization because it would probably need
coverage to cinemas around the globe which realistically
can only be achieved with huge budgets.
Universal Pictures
- It may be appropriate for Universal Pictures as it has
proven to be a successful distributor worldwide with 100
   years of experience.

- Also, Universal has distributed
films such as The Interpreter,
which had a similar target audience to
us, which became an overnight
success, possible due to it's
distribution, with a worldwide gross of
almost $163,000,000.
20th Century Fox
- Similarly, 20th Century Fox may
have been a sensible choice because
   of it's outstanding success with
   Phone Booth which targeted an
   extremely similar target audience to
our film, that being under 25 males.
Phone Booth was the number one
film in its opening weekend, which
   is ideally what every filmmaker
   wants to achieve.
Dreamworks
- Dreamworks would probably be the
  most sensible option, mainly because
  our film contained young actors
  which this company is traditionally
associated with for example, a film
similar to ours in narrative, Eagle
  Eye and Shia LaBeouf. Also,
  Dreamworks may be most apprirate
because it is often referred to as more
  'contemporary' than other institutes,
which would suit our genre of film
