Looking back at the preliminary task, the author feels they have learned to improve the planning, research, and production quality for the main task. For the preliminary task, planning and research were less detailed and focused more on completing the task. However, for the main task, planning involved more in-depth analysis of conventions and existing magazines. Production skills like photography and software use also improved after gaining experience. The author worked to better understand the target audience and tailor the magazine specifically to them. Overall, the progression from preliminary to main task helped the author strengthen their work through more thorough planning, research, and presentation.
