2. Photography
I used to do photography but because I
have not been on any photographic shoots
for some time, I have forgotten how to
operate a camera. In order to get the best
photographs for my work I decided to use
the Cannon 600D. At the beginning I was
having some problems operating it, this
consisted of: getting the right aperture as
well as using the correct lens, ISO, focusing
the image so that it did not look so out of
focus/blurred as well choosing the right
area that did not consist of too much light
or too much darkness.
One other problem I had faced was using
the tripod correctly in order to achieve a
good frame for my photo.
3. Photoshop
Having to do something different in
Photoshop other than cropping was kind of a
new experience for me and
it allowed to explore it in a
whole new dimension. I was
able to play around with
other aspects of Photoshop
to see what would be
suitable for a final a
development/draft, this
consisted of: adjusting the
brightness and contrast,
deciding whether or not it
should be in black and
white or leave it in its
original colour, choosing
which type of font etc.
For the front cover photo I had used channel
mixer to change it to black and white, and then
highlighted the headphones back to its original
colour blue to emphasise its importance.
4. Unfamiliar Softwares
I have used various forms of unfamiliar software in
order to carry out the processes of completing my
magazine. In a short period of time I have learnt to
adapt to each and every software, so that I was able
to make my work as presentable and creative as
possible.
