The document discusses the various tools and software used to complete different evaluation questions, including the benefits and limitations of each. Prezi, Coggle, and PowerPoint were used to break down information for questions 1-4. Blogger allowed linking all questions together with separate posts. Photoshop enabled image comparisons, YouTube was used for video comparisons, and Excel created a spreadsheet comparison. SlideShare published PowerPoints and Excel files online. The tools generally benefited the presentation of information, though some had limited formatting or embedding options.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Question 4 evaluation
1. Type
Which
question(s) Why? Benefit?
Prezi
Question 1, 3
and 4
To present information in a
easy to read way. In Question
1 I used it to breakdown
different elements of the
websites so that I could make
a direct comaprison with ease.
In question 3 Prezi allowed me
to breakdown the different
feedback I got and write as
much as I wanted about it
without it looking boring and
the same as the other things I
have written. In Question 4 I
could also easily brakedown
the information into digestable
chuncks and also link the
information as you would with
a hand drawn spider diagram.
Using Prezi benifited me
massivly because it is an easy
way to present the
information and ideas that I
had in such a way that they
would be interseting to look at
and follow. It ment I could
include links, videos and
images that would work when
presented/viewed. This was
ahuge beinifit as it mwnt I
could display what I was
talking about in a quick and
simple way.
Emaze Question 4
I used emaze in a very similar
way to prezi in Question 4. It
was a differnet way of
presentting information that
was broken down into smaller
chunks. It was very easy to
group different items together
as nessisary.
Whilst I could include links
and videos and images like I
could with Prezi, I felt quite
limited in the ways I could
include my information as the
availible space and choice of
area layouts was a lot more
limited than prezi. This made
it feel a lot more like
powerpoint. Although I did
decide to include the work I
did with Emaze in the future I
think I will use other methods
of presebtation that allow a
little more freedom for the
amount of text I can include.
2. Coggle Question 2, 3
Coggle is a online mindmap
software. I find it really useful
to make mind maps and lists
when jotting down ideas and
so this is a much more
presentable way to do this. In
questions 2 and 3 I used coggle
to desplay and link ideas on
the question in a format that
allows me to link everything
together in such a way that
could be understood at a
glance.
Coggle mindmaps are colour
coded automatically and they
do not really have a limit that I
have found of the number of
branches that you can include
and the amount of text you
can use. It is also possible to
link videos and websites,
although not images. I think if
I could have also included
images coggle would have
been even more useful to me .
The fact that I could download
it as an image and then instert
it in my blog was very useful
to me.
Blogger
All four
questions
Blogger is where I am
documenting all of my
coursework. It has allowed me
to link all of the evaluation
questions together, with a
seporate post for each. For
each of the questions I have
used the word prossessing
aspect of the website either to
split up the other things listed
here or to write about some of
the things that I had insterted
in the blog either to explain
them or to add a lot of detail.
Bullit point lists have been
very helpful.
Blogger has been very
benifical as it allows me to use
all of these different online
tools and pieces of software
to their full potential as well
as making it possible to group
all this information together.
Because I am able to embed
lots of different kinds of
information it works well for
what we are trying to achive.
3. Powerpoint Question 2, 3
PowerPoint is an ofline
presentation software that I
have used in the same way as
prezi. It does allpow you to use
video, images and links as well
as text.
Because this is an offline piece
of software I had to use it in
congunction with other,
online software in order to
put it in our blog. This isn't too
much hassle as there are a lot
of websites that are made to
do this. One issue of
powerpoint is the limited
space that it has when you
start to include pictures and
text. Whilst you can just add
another slide this does break
up the information more than
I would like.
Slideshare
Question 2, 3,
4
Slideshare is the online
software I have used in order
to export PowerPoints and
Excel Speadsheets in order to
be able to put them in the
blog.
This is the best website of its
kind that I have found as it
does not change the format of
the thing you are trying to
upload. As well as this it can
be embeded into the blog.
The only downside of this is
that if you include a youtube
video in a PowerPoint it does
not always work.
Photoshop Question 1
I used photoshop in order to
create collages of images that I
wanted to comapare.
This was very useful as it
meant I could look at the
images side-by-side and make
comaprisons at a glance. This
was very useful for comparing
our digipak with some
profesional products as it
ment I could put it in my bolg
in one go without a massive
line of images.
4. Youtube Question 1
I used youtube in two different
ways. Firstly I used it to watch
music videos similare to our
own. This allowed me to begin
to make comaprisions. I then
later used it to upload a video
that used one of the music
videos I had been looking at
along side our video so that I
could compare them.
Youtube has been very useful
as has this dual use. This
means that I have been able
to do more from just one
account.
FinalCut Question 1
FinalCut allowed me to edit
together the video mentioned
above.
Although I did use finalcut
during construction I am still
quite a novice. Because of
thos it took me much longer
to make this video than it
really should have. I had
initially planned to use a voice
over to talk about the
different aspects of the vidoes
however I struggled to get this
to work in the way I intended
and so decided instread to
word process these
comaprisons.
Excel Question 4
I have used Excel to create this
spreadsheet comparison.
This has been useful as I could
put everything side by side
and write the information I
needed clearly. Unfortunatly I
have not been able to include
images which I would have
liked to do to show the ways
in which I have used the
different types of software
and online tools listed here.
