2. How Convetional are your digipak/artist website?
We decided to not challenge any conventions and rather
stick to the same codes and convetions used in Estelle's
website.Although in the CD cover i was inspires by beyonce's
album - 4. Both of my album cover and hers have a medium
shot of the artist, while the artist's name is on top and the
album's name is on the bottow right. Both artist take are in
extreme focus, so their image is clear andappealing to the
eye. All this, and other examples, i will show in the next few
slides.
3. The artist's name creates the stars
image and allows their target audience
to see their namealong with an eye
catching main image on the front of the
album.
The Album’s Title is to give the audience
a feel of what the Artist was thinking
while creating the Album but also what
the album might contain. Beyonce's
album cover (4) is the one that I was
most inspired by, and as you can see is
quite similar.
4. WEBSITE
I sticked to the same
conventions and codes
of Estelle's website. It
differs althoug it all goes
into the same way.
5.
6. The artist's latest album, is the
second thing (after their
name) that you usually see, it's
big to catch our attention. It
has alwyas buttons that will
lead to online stores where we
can buy the cd.
7. Websites have many photos of
the artist : it can be photos of
photoshoots, behind the scenes,
magazine covers, shows,
concerts, etc.
8. There is often a page
called "videos" where
fans are able to see
music videos, interviews,
behind the scenes, etc.
