5. Write several sentences to summarize the sequence of events using
transitions effectively:

6. Write a few sentences about how the conflict was resolved.
7. Write a few sentences restating the the message or gist of the story
that began the summary, but this time doing it in a slightly different way

9. 2. PRECIS - is a brief summary of a book,
article, speech, or text. When the writer
writes a précis, he uses one or two concise
sentences to give the essence of a passage
or text.

10. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
SUMMARY AND PRÉCIS?
Summary means the whole, literally the
description of the entirety or sum, you must
use your own words as much as possible, and
as few words from the original as possible
Précis means the germ, the essence, you use
the language and structure of the original

GIVING THE MEANING IN ANOTHER FORM, AS FOR CLEARNESS;
REWORDING
