This slides shows relationship between python and databases. but this is very short story. not all that python and databases, just part of them. Use your own risk.
All data values in Python are encapsulated in relevant object classes. Everything in Python is an object and every object has an identity, a type, and a value. Like another object-oriented language such as Java or C++, there are several data types which are built into Python. Extension modules which are written in C, Java, or other languages can define additional types.
To determine a variable's type in Python you can use the type() function. The value of some objects can be changed. Objects whose value can be changed are called mutable and objects whose value is unchangeable (once they are created) are called immutable.
This document provides an introduction to SQL and database systems. It begins with example tables to demonstrate SQL concepts. It then covers the objectives of SQL, including allowing users to create database structures, manipulate data, and perform queries. Various SQL concepts are introduced such as data types, comparison operators, logical operators, and arithmetic operators. The document also discusses SQL statements for schema and catalog definitions, data definition, data manipulation, and other operators. Example SQL queries are provided to illustrate concepts around selecting columns, rows, sorting, aggregation, grouping, and more.
The document provides an overview of the basics of C# 2008 .NET 3.0/3.5, including the basic structure of a C# program, namespaces, classes, methods, variables, data types, operators, flow control, arrays, namespaces, console input/output, and comments. It discusses key concepts such as object-oriented programming fundamentals, console applications in Visual Studio 2008, and more advanced topics such as checked and unchecked operators.
The document discusses different types of conditional and control statements in Python including if, if-else, elif, nested if-else, while, for loops, and else with loops.
It provides the syntax and examples of each statement type. The if statement and if-else statement are used for simple decision making. The elif statement allows for chained conditional execution with more than two possibilities. Nested if-else allows if/elif/else statements within other conditionals. While and for loops are used to repeatedly execute blocks of code, with while looping until a condition is false and for looping over sequences. The else statement with loops executes code when the loop condition is false.
This document discusses Python database programming. It introduces databases and how they store data in tables connected through columns. It discusses SQL for creating, accessing, and manipulating database data. It then discusses how Python supports various databases and database operations. It covers the Python DB-API for providing a standard interface for database programming. It provides examples of connecting to a database, executing queries, and retrieving and inserting data.
This document discusses data abstraction and abstract data types (ADTs). It defines an ADT as a collection of data along with a set of operations on that data. An ADT specifies what operations can be performed but not how they are implemented. This allows data structures to be developed independently from solutions and hides implementation details behind the ADT's operations. The document provides examples of list ADTs and an array-based implementation of a list ADT in C++.
The document discusses relational database management systems and their advantages over traditional file processing systems. It describes some key disadvantages of file processing systems like data redundancy, difficulty in accessing data, integrity problems, and security issues. It then explains some core components and concepts of relational database management systems like data independence, data models, entity-relationship diagrams, relational algebra, relational calculus, SQL, and integrity constraints. The document provides an overview of relational database management systems and their design and querying capabilities.
The document discusses methods in Java programming. It explains that methods can be used to divide large blocks of code into smaller, more manageable pieces by grouping related lines of code into reusable functions. This improves readability and maintainability of programs. The document provides examples of using methods without and with parameters and return values. It also covers defining your own methods and using methods from Java library classes.

This Presentation is about NoSQL which means Not Only SQL. This presentation covers the aspects of using NoSQL for Big Data and the differences from RDBMS.
Modules in Python allow organizing classes into files to make them available and easy to find. Modules are simply Python files that can import classes from other modules in the same folder. Packages allow further organizing modules into subfolders, with an __init__.py file making each subfolder a package. Modules can import classes from other modules or packages using either absolute or relative imports, and the __init__.py can simplify imports from its package. Modules can also contain global variables and classes to share resources across a program.
Python modules allow for code reusability and organization. There are three main components of a Python program: libraries/packages, modules, and functions/sub-modules. Modules can be imported using import, from, or from * statements. Namespaces and name resolution determine how names are looked up and associated with objects. Packages are collections of related modules and use an __init__.py file to be recognized as packages by Python.
The document discusses input/output streams in Java. There are two types of streams: byte streams and character streams. Byte streams handle input and output of bytes for binary files, while character streams handle input and output of characters for text files. Java also defines three standard streams for input, output, and errors that are represented by System.in, System.out, and System.err respectively. The document provides examples of different stream types and how they are used for input and output in Java programs.
This document provides an overview of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) including its building blocks, diagrams, and the Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology. It defines UML, explains its advantages for visualizing, specifying, and constructing systems. It describes the different types of UML elements including structural things like classes and interfaces, behavioral things like interactions and state machines, and grouping and annotational things. It also outlines the different UML diagrams for modeling a system from various perspectives and the four phases of the iterative RUP methodology.
The document discusses arrays in Java, including how to declare and initialize one-dimensional and two-dimensional arrays, access array elements, pass arrays as parameters, and sort and search arrays. It also covers arrays of objects and examples of using arrays to store student data and daily temperature readings from multiple cities over multiple days.
The document provides an introduction to Python programming. It discusses installing and running Python, basic Python syntax like variables, data types, conditionals, and functions. It emphasizes that Python uses references rather than copying values, so assigning one variable to another causes both to refer to the same object.
Object Definition Language (ODL) is a specification language to define the specifications of object types based on the ODMG ODL (but not compliant). ODL is a DDL for objects types. ... If defines the characteristics of types, including their properties and operations.
C# is a component-oriented programming language that builds on the .NET framework. It has a familiar C-like syntax that is easy for developers familiar with C, C++, Java, and Visual Basic to adopt. C# is fully object-oriented and optimized for building .NET applications. Everything in C# belongs to a class, with basic data types including integers, floats, booleans, characters, and strings. C# supports common programming constructs like variables, conditional statements, loops, methods, and classes. C# can be easily combined with ASP.NET for building web applications in a powerful, fast, and high-level way.
Modules allow grouping of related functions and code into reusable files. Packages are groups of modules that provide related functionality. There are several ways to import modules and their contents using import and from statements. The document provides examples of creating modules and packages in Python and importing from them.
