PROJECT PLANNING
Project planning is the process of documenting steps for accomplishing a goal within a
certain time frame. This enables one to achieve the results on time, to budget and
according to the desired level of quality.
The purpose of project planning includes;
• To establish a clear and organized framework for the project, including its goals,
strategies, tasks, and resources.
• To Establish business requirements
• It helps to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the
desired quality standard.
PROJECT PLANNING
• To establish a set of directions in sufficient detail to determine what must be done,
when it must be done, what resources are required to produce deliverables of the
project and when resources will be needed.
• Establish cost, schedule, list of deliverables, and delivery dates.
• Project planning also helps to identify potential risks and allocate resources
effectively, leading to better project control and a higher likelihood of success.
