Module Title: Midwifery 312E (NBM. 312E)
Purpose: The purpose of the module is to enable the students to function as competent practitioners with regard to women’s health issues as well as the child bearing process within the
primary Health care and hospital setting. Furthermore, it will equip the student with knowledge, skills and values required for the practise of midwifery in respect of mother and the baby and to
prevent any complications that may arise in perinatal using the scientific approach and standard protocols guided by the South African Nursing Council Rules and Regulations.
