Pulp Fiction is a 1994 American black comedy The film is known for its eclectic dialogue,
ironic mix of humour and violence, nonlinear storyline, and a host of cinematicallusions
and pop culture references.
The narrative is presented out of chronological order, structured around three distinct but
interrelated storylines. Although each storyline focuses on a different seriesof incidentsset
in different periods of time, they connect and intersect in various ways. It finally returnsto

The target audience for this film would be a fairlyyoung male audience as thisis a thriller so
commonly this is the main target audience for these typesof films. There is also an element
of sillycomedy that would attract a younger audience and maybe even more of a male one. A
third element of this film would be action, which often attractsmore of a male-based

The first U.S. review of the film was published on May 23 in industrytrade
magazine Variety. On October 14, 1994, Pulp Fiction went into general release in the United
States; it went wide immediately, into1,100 theatres. Pulp Fiction was the top-grossingfilm
at the box office its first weekend. Against itsbudget of $8.5 million and about $10 million in
marketingcosts, Pulp Fiction wound up grossing$107.93 million at the U.S. box office,
making it the first "indie" film to surpass$100 million. Worldwide, it took in nearly$213
million. In termsof domesticgrosses, it was the tenth biggest film of 1994, even though it
played on substantiallyfewer screensthan any other film in the top 20
