This summary provides the key details from the annotated bibliography in 3 sentences:
The annotated bibliography describes a longitudinal study that explored the role of the Borna Disease Virus in psychiatric patients over 21 years by measuring antibodies against the virus in patient samples. The study found that patients with advanced schizophrenia had higher levels of antibodies than those with early-stage schizophrenia, providing evidence that the virus may contribute to or support the development of schizophrenia. However, the study only used one testing method to detect the virus and could have benefited from additional varied testing to strengthen its findings.

Asthma Prevalence in HK Nurture, Not Naturepacificprimehk
Asthma is a common chronic lung disease, which affects approximately 120,000 children in Hongkong. Statistics showed that 40% of this population require outpatient specialty care from time to time. Patients who are hospitalized represent 15% of children admitted to medical facilities. In recent years, various studies proved that there is an increasing trend in the number of asthma cases.
Background & objectives: In Odisha, several cases of dengue virus infection were detected for the first time in 2010, the importance of dengue as a serious mosquito-borne viral infection was felt only in 2011 with the reporting of many more positive cases. This retrospective three year study was done to find out the seroprevalence of dengue Igm antibody and to know the predominant serotype of dengue virus among the patients suspected to have dengue virus infection in a tertiary care hospital in southern Odisha, India.
Methods: Blood samples from clinically suspected dengue cases admitted in the Medicine and Paediatrics departments of a tertiary care hospital were collected. These were processed for detection of dengue specific IgM antibody, carried out by the ELISA method. Dengue IgM antibody positive serum samples were tested for serotypic identification.
Results: of the 5102 samples tested, 1074 (21.05 %) were positive for dengue IgM. Maximum numbers of cases were found in 2012. Majority (47.86 %) of cases were detected in the month of September. The most common affected age group was 11 to 20 yr. DENV1 and DENV2 were the detected serotypes.
Interpretation & conclusions: Rapid increase in the dengue cases in 2012 became a public health concern as majority of cases were affecting the young adolescents. Most of the cases were reported in post-monsoon period indicating a need for acceleration of vector control programmes prior to arrival of monsoon.
Key words Dengue virus - IgM antibody - seroprevalence - serotype - vector control

Sweden approached Coronavirus differently than the U.S. It's been called "The Sweden Experiment."
Instead of quarantining everyone Sweden quarantined the sick and recommended, but did not require, that the vulnerable stay isolated too.
What's interesting is Sweden's approach is not an experiment, it's what has always been done. Never in history have we closed businesses and forced everyone to stay at home.
Instead, we have isolated the sick and warned the vulnerable, exactly what Sweden is doing.
It's too early to tell whether "The Sweden Experiment" is the right approach, but one thing is for sure, Sweden is not conducting the experiment, we are.
On behalf of the millions of closed businesses and unemployed workers, let's hope we're right.

Abstract
In recent a post, oppositional disorder diseases has been on the rise, raising questions about the manner in which diseases is spreading especially among children. The high prevalence levels of the oppositional disorder have raised more concerns especially form the health, sectors thus developing the need to understand the disorder better. This research paper will, therefore, encompass a broad perspective of oppositional disorder disease to effectively understand how it is manifested, various ways in which it manifests itself to develop preventive strategy much earlier before the situation reaches full-blown.
Unlike the common conduct disorder where the patient is more aggressive towards people and animals, the oppositional disorder is more silent, and it takes time for it to be detected. The lifetime prevalence of the disease is estimated to be 10.2%. The disease is mostly observed in children and adolescents across the globe.
Some of the common symptoms of the disease involve a certain behavior where children’s behavior is much different compared to their peers. A patient suffering from oppositional disorder tends to have a turn in their behavior including regular loose of temper, being angry and resentful, argues with authorities without any significant reason. It is importance to note that the persistence and frequency of these behaviors should be used to differentiate between normal behavior and symptoms of the oppositional disorder. The disease causes a massive effect on patient’s mental and physical wellbeing.
The most common cause of the oppositional disorder is the genetic influence. Research has shown that parents tend to pass on expressing disorder to their children, and it may be displayed in multiple ways. The disease can be easily diagnosed basing on the extent at which the change of behavior causes distress to the family members or drastic changes in academic and social functioning. These behaviors must persist.

Does Hepatitis E Virus need to be Considered as a re-emerging problem in both industrialized and developing countries?
I came across an article wrhich was very interesting to me. The five authors - Zhang, Wu, Zhong, Xiao, and Dong observed that Hepatitis E (HEV) as a virus which is now considered by some scientists as an emerging issue as HEV is not only prevalent in developing countries but increasingly detected in industrialized nations (p. 275). I learned that this disease affects the liver and there are over 20 million cases resulting from HEV every year. To give a quick history about hepatitis E, in was in India, in 1978 when the first out break which hit the area and resulted in 52,000 cases and 1,700 deaths all due to water-borne HEV disease (Zhang et al. 2018). At first they did not know how or what this disease was that was killing and people become infected until a Russian scientist in 1983, by the name of Mikhail Balayan, took some stool samples and samples from autopies which had damaged livers and had been infected with this virus and studied it. His team then classified it as Hepatitis E (HEV). I learned from reading this article that there are currently eight known HEV genotypes (parts of the genetic makeup of a cell that determines the phenotype of a specific organism) (Zhang et al. 2018). Some genotypes can infect humans and some animals and some both.
What was most interesting in this article was it included the transmission, symptons, prevention, spreading, and awareness to the public about HEV. I think it is important to known especially for someone like me who wants to travel to other countries where different environments are not as santizied as the comfort we have here at home. Furthermore, HEV infection is high and shows a trend of increasing, which leads to the conclusion and proves there hypothesis that HEV is a re-emerging disease (Zhang et al. 2018).
To give a brief description about HEV, HEV can be transmitted through food consumption, blood transfusion, organ tranplants, pathogens in fecal particles from one person, uncooked foods, raw animal products, close contact with pigs and swine hunters (Zhang et al. 2018). Some of the symptons which many believe they have the cold or the flu are fever, vomiting, faintness. Some other characteristics of symptons can be jaundice, itching skin, pale stools, darkened urine, which lead to chronic HEV diseases. Prevention is mainly with a HEV vaccine, especially for paties who require blood or organ transplants. Lastly, awareness to the public about ways to protect oneself when encountering persons who may be infected, blood donation, eating handling raw foods, or animals, etc.

Post Endodontic Restoration: Are You Serious?IOSR Journals
After root canal obturation of sound posterior teeth, dentists are always in hurry of giving full
crown. They are not serious in giving proper post endodontic restoration which results in fracture of tooth or
restoration, if patient delays the full crown treatment. The inherent causes of failures are rarely evaluated.
Thus, it was the purpose of this study to analyze the opinion of practicing dentist and after 24 months of clinical
observation to present a logical approach to this subject as the final success of endodontic treatment is depend
on the proper and timely coronal restoration.

This longitudinal study explores the role of the Borna Disease Virus in psychiatric patients. The
investigators used a method called Indirect Immunofluorescence assay (IFA) to prove the presence of
BDV in an organism's system. Through this methodology, they measured the amount of antibodies
that fought against the virus. From 1985 to 2006, antibody analysis was done on the patients
participating in this study. For the experiment, 46 patients were chosen from the major group because
they were found to be seropositive for traces of BDV. From this group, the patients with advanced
stages of schizophrenia had more traces of antibodies than those in earlier stages. As a result, this
can help the scientific community understand that the BDV may be a cause or supporting factor in the
formation of schizophrenia. This idea is lead by the fact there has been a presence of the virus in the
system. The investigation supports the idea that BDV has a role in the pathogenesis of conditions,
and as a result, BDV may contribute to the development of schizophrenic conditions. This group of
investigators did an excellent job for collecting data from a large period of time. It also seemed to lack
more varied testing of BDV presence, only to have inclined on solely on type of test.
