This document discusses psychological safety in the workplace and proposes a framework called "Object123" to improve it. Object123 would allow employees to object to misbehavior using yellow and red cards, similar to a soccer referee. The objections would always be less offensive than the misbehavior. If an objection is challenged, the team would have a final vote. The goal is to democratize power in organizations and give employees a way to vote people out, reducing fears of anger, authority, abuse and rejection that undermine psychological safety.
