1. Once you have identified your topic, define your variable of interest which will be your topic for undertaking the research. For example, if your topic is the Transportation industry, then you will focus on the profit for that industry, try to identify some factors that will help explain the industry’s profit such as costs of shipment, cost of production, market shares or revenues. Next, try to formulate your title by turning the relationship between profit and one of the explanatory factor in the form of a question that will motive to collect data to solve the problem.

2. If you are interested in examining the problems facing First Year College Students, then your topic is 1st Year Students.
Title: Does the number of hours of study influence student Grade Point Average?
The relationship between the dependent and independent variables can be known in advance before the data are collected. This pre-relationship is referred to as the theoretical framework.
Reference at least three scholarly articles to understand how each independent variable influences the dependent variable.
1. Article number 1. For example, in the URL search for student performance. A list of articles will show up. Make a brief analysis (3-5 sentences) describing what the author reported about the relationship; positive, or negative. This will be part of your theoretical expectation of the variables before you collect the data.

Also, you may use historical material (Facts, Historical or Research data) to reinforce your thesis statement and the merit of this essay. The final method for fashioning an introductory paragraph is a personal anecdote, either your own or someone else’s.
Each of the above techniques has to set up your thesis statement and motivate readers to venture on to determine the point of the essay.

… required to complete a critical review of one research orientated journal article. The article will be selected by the student with approval of the instructor from peer-reviewed journals in an area of interest to the student. The article reviewed will use descriptive statistics that the student has been exposed to in the first 4 - 6 weeks of this course. Students will choose articles to review from UMUC’s library resources.
For the article, students may select a topic of their interest. The empirical research article, “Academic procrastination and statistics anxiety” used for Sessions 1 and 2 Discussion assignments (see Conferences section), is an example of a descriptive statistical research article. In addition, the students are encouraged to use UMUC’s Library to locate an empirical research article. Finally, the instructor of the course must approve the article. … required to complete a critical review of one research orientated journal article. The article will be selected by the student with approval of the instructor from peer-reviewed journals in an area of interest to the student. The article reviewed will use descriptive statistics that the student has been exposed to in the first 4 - 6 weeks of this course. Students will choose articles to review from UMUC’s library resources.
For the article, students may select a topic of their interest. The empirical research article, “Academic procrastination and statistics anxiety” used for Sessions 1 and 2 Discussion assignments (see Conferences section), is an example of a descriptive statistical research article. In addition, the students are encouraged to use UMUC’s Library to locate an empirical research article. Finally, the instructor of the course must approve the article. Students should upload the pdf version of the article in the Workbook section of the online class.

land.

like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
