This document defines and provides examples of proverbs and riddles. It begins by defining a proverb as a short, popular saying that offers advice about life and defines riddles as statements or questions with double meanings meant to be solved. Examples of each are provided, such as "Better late than never" for a proverb and "Who makes it, has no need of it" for a riddle. The document then asks the reader to recall proverbs from their surroundings and discuss their meanings. Additional proverbs and riddles are provided along with their explanations. Homework is assigned to write new proverbs and riddles.
