This document proposes two prototypes for addressing the problem of college students lacking confidence for their first job due to academics and skills alone being insufficient. Prototype 1 is a required Workplace-Laboratory Class for graduating students to simulate a real work environment. It involves four phases: enrolling via resume and interview, a classroom setup like an office, midterm exams on workflow mastery, and a final project and potential promotion. Prototype 2 is an instructional video/documentary to help graduating students prepare for the workplace. It would cover angles like self-perceptions, finding the right job, the job hunt process, surviving initial work experiences, and stories from professionals.
