This document summarizes a research paper on strategic human capital and the need to ground emerging theories in practical business experiences. It provides an example of how academic research focused on theoretical assumptions rather than practical business problems. The emerging field of strategic human capital has an opportunity to develop theories that bridge this gap by systematically comparing assumptions to real-world phenomena. Doing so while the field is still developing could help establish a foundation of assumptions that reflect both academic rigor and practical relevance.

This document discusses outsourcing and provides arguments for and against outsourcing janitorial services at Inoteech Corp. It supports outsourcing janitorial services to help cut operational costs by allowing the company to more easily hire and fire outsourced employees and negotiate their salaries. However, it also argues that outsourcing janitors could result in the loss of the company's critical information if the outsourced employees have no control, potentially decreasing product sales. The document discusses utilitarianism as an ethical framework that supports outsourcing to improve efficiency and maximize corporate profits and revenues. It also addresses fiduciary duties to benefit the organization and social responsibility to work collaboratively to increase company outputs.

EMPLOYEE ATTRITION PREDICTION IN INDUSTRY USING MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUESIAEME Publication
Companies are always looking for ways to keep their professional personnel on board in order to save money on hiring and training. Predicting whether or not a specific employee would depart will assist the organisation in making proactive decisions. Human resource problems, unlike physical systems, cannot be defined by a scientific-analytical formula. As a result, machine learning approaches are the most effective instruments for achieving this goal. In this study, a feature selection strategy based on a Machine Learning Classifier is proposed to improve classification accuracy, precision, and True Positive Rate while lowering error rates such as False Positive Rate and Miss Rate. Different feature selection techniques, such as Information Gain, Gain Ratio, Chi-Square, Correlation-based, and Fisher Exact test, are analysed with six Machine Learning classifiers, such as Artificial Neural Network, Support Vector Machine, Gradient Boosting Tree, Bagging, Random Forest, and Decision Tree, for the proposed approach. In this study, combining Chi-Square feature selection with a Gradient Boosting Tree classifier improves employee attrition classification accuracy while lowering error rates.

ABSTRACT: This research aims to examine how ESG disclosure and risk disclosure affect the total risk of
companies. Using cross section data from 355 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, data regarding
ESG disclosure and risk was collected. In this research, ESG and risk disclosures are measured based on content
analysis using GRI 4 guidelines for ESG disclosures and COSO ERM for risk disclosures. Using multiple
regression, it is concluded that only risk disclosure can reduce the company's total risk, while ESG disclosure
cannot affect the company's total risk. This shows that only risk disclosure is relevant in determining a
company's total risk.

regression, it is concluded that only risk disclosure can reduce the company's total risk, while ESG disclosure
cannot affect the company's total risk. This shows that only risk disclosure is relevant in determining a
company's total risk.

This document summarizes a research paper on factors that influence firm value in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research examines the effect of four company characteristics - managerial ownership, capital structure, firm size, and profitability (return on assets) - on firm value, as measured by price-to-book value. Thirty property and real estate companies from 2010 to 2012 were included in the sample. The results of the multiple regression analysis showed that managerial ownership, firm size, and return on assets had a significant positive effect on firm value, while capital structure did not have a significant effect.
This document summarizes a study that analyzes factors influencing corporate governance disclosure in the banking industries listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2009 to 2011. The study examines how dispersion ownership, company size, profitability, listing age, and board of commissioner size affect corporate governance disclosure levels. It develops hypotheses about the relationship between each of these factors and disclosure based on prior literature. The methodology describes the sample selection of 71 banking companies and use of a disclosure index calculated from annual report data to measure corporate governance disclosure levels.
This document summarizes a study that analyzes the impact of dividend announcements on stock prices of private commercial banks listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in Bangladesh. The study examines stock price movements of 25 banks surrounding 44 days of dividend announcement dates. Based on prior literature and theories, the study hypothesizes that dividend announcements either do or do not contain price sensitive information that would impact stock prices. Using an event study methodology, the study analyzes daily stock price movements relative to dividend announcement dates to test this hypothesis. Preliminary results found stock price declines for some banks, rises for others, and no changes for some, with no statistically significant overall impact. This suggests that dividend announcements in this market may not contain
Determinants of abnormal returns on the ghana stock exchangeAlexander Decker
This document summarizes a research study that examines the determinants of abnormal returns on the Ghana Stock Exchange following dividend initiation announcements. Specifically, it analyzes factors such as a firm's earnings changes, earnings volatility, dividend yield, age, institutional shareholding, size, market-to-book ratio, investment opportunities, and industry to determine if they influence the magnitude of abnormal returns around dividend initiation announcements. The results suggest that older firms and those in the manufacturing industry experience stronger positive investor reactions, while firms with good investment opportunities that decide to initiate dividends see negative reactions from investors.
This research is a type of quantitative research, to determine the pattern of the relationship between profitability,
macroeconomics, capital structure and company value in manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange for the
2014-2018 period. The unit of analysis in this study is financial reports, while the population is all manufacturing
companies. of this population,
The purpose of this research was to empirically investigate the effect of capital structure on financial sustainability
of deposit-taking micro finance institutions (DTMs) in Kenya. The specific objectives were to determine the impact
of debt on the financial sustainability of DTMs in Kenya, to assess the influence of retained earnings on the financial
sustainability of DTMs in Kenya, to examine the effect of ordinary share capital on the financial sustainability of
MFIs in Kenya, and to investigate the impact of preferred share capital on the financial sustainability of DTMs in
Kenya. The target population of the study was all the 13 DTMs in Kenya registered with the Central Bank of Kenya.
Secondary data was collected on all the DTMs financial data from the Central Bank of Kenya reports. Data was
analyzed using multiple regression model using SPSS and R as the data analysis tool. Based on the findings 76.9%
of the DTMs did not earn enough revenue to cover the actual financing direct costs, which include the total operating
costs, loan loss provisions and the financing costs but excluding the cost of capital. The analysis of variance
(ANOVA) table indicated that the predictor variables influenced the predictor variable significantly at 5%
significance level. Among the four variables; debt and retained earnings were statistically significant variable at 5%
significance level with 1.265 and 1.630 coefficient respectfully. Whereby the financial sustainability change by
1.265 and 1.630 for every unit change of debt or retained earnings respectfully. Therefore, for the deposit-taking
microfinance institutions to remain afloat in the lending business, they should utilize any borrowing opportunity,
plough back profits to the business, and low proportion of preferred share capital. Deposit-taking microfinance
institutions should avoid usage ordinary share capital as it negatively affected financial sustainability
This document summarizes a research paper that analyzed share price movements in the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) from 2007 to 2012. The study used tools like moving averages, beta analysis, and correlation to examine share price volatility in different sectors. It found that share prices grew continuously over the five-year period without major peaks or declines. The analysis suggested that macroeconomic factors like GDP and inflation could impact future equity returns in the Indian stock market. The full paper provides details on the methodology, literature review, analysis tools used, and discusses how various sectors performed.

Parabolic antenna alignment system with Real-Time Angle Position FeedbackStevenPatrick17
Introduction
Parabolic antennas are a crucial component in many communication systems, including satellite communications, radio telescopes, and television broadcasting. Ensuring these antennas are properly aligned is vital for optimal performance and signal strength. A parabolic antenna alignment system, equipped with real-time angle position feedback and fault tracking, is designed to address this need. This document delves into the components, design, and implementation of such a system, highlighting its significance and applications.
Importance of Parabolic Antenna Alignment
The alignment of a parabolic antenna directly affects its performance. Even minor misalignments can lead to significant signal loss, which can degrade the quality of the received signal or cause communication failures. Proper alignment ensures that the antenna's focal point is accurately directed toward the signal source, maximizing the antenna's gain and efficiency. This precision is especially crucial in applications like satellite communications, where the antenna must track geostationary satellites with high accuracy.
Components of a Parabolic Antenna Alignment System
A parabolic antenna alignment system typically includes the following components:
Parabolic Dish: The primary reflector that collects and focuses incoming signals.
Feedhorn and Low Noise Block (LNB): Positioned at the dish's focal point to receive signals.
Stepper or Servo Motors: Adjust the azimuth (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) angles of the antenna.
Microcontroller (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi): Processes sensor data and controls the motors.
Potentiometers: Provide feedback on the antenna's current angle positions.
Fault Detection Sensors: Monitor for potential faults such as cable discontinuities or LNB failures.
Control Software: Runs on the microcontroller, handling real-time processing and decision-making.
Real-Time Angle Position Feedback
Real-time feedback on the antenna's angle position is essential for maintaining precise alignment. This feedback is typically provided by potentiometers or rotary encoders, which continuously monitor the azimuth and elevation angles. The microcontroller reads this data and adjusts the motors accordingly to keep the antenna aligned with the signal source.
Fault Tracking in Antenna Alignment Systems
Fault tracking is vital for the reliability and performance of the antenna system. Common faults include cable discontinuities, LNB malfunctions, and motor failures. Sensors integrated into the system can detect these faults and either notify the user or initiate corrective actions automatically.
Design and Implementation
1. Parabolic Dish and Feedhorn
The parabolic dish is designed to reflect incoming signals to a focal point where the feedhorn and LNB are located. The dish's size and shape depend on the specific application and frequency range.
2. Motors and Position Control
Stepper motors or servo motors are used to control the azimuth and elevation of

PENDAHULUAN
1.1. Latar Belakang Penelitian
kecilnya peran perbankan didalam memobilisasi dana. Fenomena ini
disebut dengan disintermediasi pasar keuangan. Bahkan pasar modal
menjadi salah satu tolak ukur kemodernan dimana suatu negara berhak
menyandang predikat modern kalau pasar modalnya telah maju
(Widoatmojo, 2015).
berbagai perusahaan didalam satu pasar. Kapitalisasi pasar Bursa Efek

semakin besar perusahaan, semakin kecil stock price volatility. Sedangkan
panjang perusahaan maka semakin besar volatilitas harga.
Selanjutnya
ratio, semakin rendah volatilitas.
1.2. Rumusan Masalah
Berdasarkan latar belakang penelitian diatas, maka rumusan

BAB 2
TINJAUAN PUSTAKA, KERANGKA PEMIKIRAN DAN HIPOTESIS
2.1 Tinjauan Pustaka
2.1.1 Stock Price Volatility
2.2 Hubungan Antar Variabel Penelitian
types of dividend police.
2.2.1.1 Hipotesis Pasar Efisien
mendapatkan tingkat pengembalian rata-rata (Maholtra, Tandon, Dan
Tandon, 2015). Menurut Naseer dan Tariq (2015), hipotesis pasar sempurna
mempunyai tiga asumsi yang krusial yaitu :
batas maksimum;
harga setiap efek disamakan;
masa lalu. Artinya, harga saham terbentuk merupakan refleksi dari
pergerakan harga saham dimasa lalu. Contohnya, adanya pola musiman atas

pemegang saham.
Demirgunes (2015) menjelaskan bahwa dividend signaling
hypothesis menunjukkan bahwa pengumuman dividen mencakup dan
menyampaikan informasi tentang penilaian management perusahaan

2.2.1.4 Types of Dividend Payout Policies
a. Constant-Payout-Ratio Dividend Policy
stock price volatility. Shah dan Noreen (2016), menyimpulkan bahwa
semakin tinggi leverage suatu perusahaan maka semakin rendah volatilitas
maka semakin besar volatilitas harga.
depan jika tingkat hutangnya semakin tinggi. Investor cenderung untuk
menghindari risiko (Hussainey, Mgbame, dan Mgbame, 2011:Profilet dan
Bacon,2013) sehingga tindakan investor untuk menjual saham-sahamnya
akan menyebabkan harga saham menjadi turun. Namun hal ini juga dapat
22. 22
kontrol lainnya sehingga stock price volatility mempunyai asosiasi terbalik
terjadinya stock price volatility.
price volatility. Sehingga semakin tinggi dividend payout maka lebih sedikit
terjadinya stock price volatility. Hasil penelitian dari Hussainey, Mgbame, dan
Mgbame (2011) menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi payout ratio, semakin
rendah volatilitas.

variabel terikat (Sugiyono:2011). Apabila variabel bebas berubah, maka
variabel terikat juga akan berubah. Variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini yaitu
variabel stock price volatility. Sedangkan variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini
adalah leverage dan firm size. Variabel mediasi (intervening) merupakan
33. 33
timbulnya variabel terikat (Sugiyono:2011). Variabel mediasi pada penelitian
ini adalah kebijakan dividen (dividend payout ratio).
3.3 Jenis Dan Sumber Data
Indonesia sesuai publikasi website www.idx.co.id. Pemilihan sampel
Pengukuran
leverage dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada penelitian-penelitian
sebelumnya (Hashemijoo, Ardekani& Younesi:2012, Profilet &
Bacon:Rashid & Rahman:2006, Shah & Noreen:2016, Hussainey,
Mg.Bame:2011). Persamaan untuk menghitung hutang jangka panjang
yaitu sebagai berikut:
𝐿𝐸𝑉 =
𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝐷𝑒𝑏𝑡
𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝐸𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑡𝑦
…… …… …… …… …… …… …… ……… .. (3.1)
3.6.1.2 Firm Size (FS)
aktiva perusahaan (Bayrakdaroglu et al.:2013:Jamal et al.:2013:Hussain et
al.:2015:dan Gharaibeh:2015). Dalam penelitian ini, variabel Firm Size
dapat diukur menggunakan persamaan sebagai berikut:
𝐹𝑆 = In(𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝐴𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑡) … … …… … … …… … …… … …… … … …… … . (3.2)
36. 36
3.6.2 Variabel Terikat
3.6.2.1 Stock Price Volatality
selama periode waktu tertentu. Pengukuran Stock Price Volatility dalam
penelitian ini mengacu pada penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya
(Hashemijoo, Ardekani & Younesi:2012, Profilet&Bacon:2013, Rashid &
Rahman:2006, Shah & Noreen:2016, Hussainey, Mgbame, &
Mgbame:2011). Persamaan untuk menghitung Stock Price Volatality yaitu

3.6.3 Variabel Mediasi (Intervening)
3.6.3.1 Dividend Payout (Dividend Payout Ratio)
Profilet & Bacon:2013, Rashid & Rahman:2006, Shah & Noreen:2016,
Hussainey, Mgbame, & Mgbame:2011). Persamaan untuk menghitung
Stock Price Volatility yaitu sebagai berikut:

3.7 Metode Analis
Dalam penelitian kuantitatif, pemilihan teknik analisis statistika
merupakan bagian yang penting dalam menguji hipotesis.Sakah satu alat
(Ghozali:2008).
3.7.1 Model Pengukuran (Outer Model)
a. Convergent Validity
Convergent Validity merupakan pengukuran korelasi antara skor
indikator dengan skor variabel laten. Convergent Validity digunakan
konstruk lainnya. Discriminant Validity dapat dilakukan dengan cara
membandingkan nilai square root average variance extracted (akar
konstruk. Nilai batas yang diterima untuk tingkat reliabilitascomposite
40. 40
adalah 0.60 (Ghozali:2011). Perhitungan composite reliability dapat
dilakukan dengan rumus :
𝜌𝑐
(∑𝜆𝑖)2
(∑𝜆𝑖)2 + ∑ 𝑖 𝑣𝑎𝑟(£𝑖)
Dimana 𝜆𝑖 = faktor loading dan £𝑖 − 1 − 𝜆𝑖
2
(Rumus 3.6)
3.5.2 Model Struktural (Inner Model)
Jika
Q-Square > 0 berarti menunjukkan bahwa model memiliki predictive
relevance, sebaliknya jika nilai Q-Square < 0 menunjukkan model kurang
41. 41
memiliki predictive relevance (Ghozali:2011). Perhitungan Q-Square
dapat dilakukan dengan rumus :
𝑄2
− 1 − (1 − 𝑅1
2)(1− 𝑅2
2)… (1 − 𝑅𝑝
2
)
Dimana R1
2, R2
2 … Rp
2 adalah R-Square variabel endogen dalam model.
