Proposal
- 2. “MY HAPPY PLACE” I will be producing a short film called “My Happy Place.” The narrative structure will be based around a young child talking about the abuse that she’s experienced. I will express her opinions and thoughts with the use of a voice over, as she reveals what has happened to her.
- 3. SUBSIDIARY PRODUCT 1 The first product will be a review page of a magazine. This could be a film magazine such as EMPIRE or a general interest magazine such as MORE. The second option would allow me to discuss the issues behind the short film and focus towards the topic of child abuse. SUBSIDIARY PRODUCT 2 The second subsidiary product will be a poster promoting the short film. I would like to include a still shot from the film with cartoon animation to exemplify the young girl’s vulnerability and youth.

- 6. TARGET AUDIENCE My core target audience will be children of an age similar to the actress – 12- 14. In order to make my product suitable for my target audience, I will make sure the images of child abuse are not too graphic, but instead help to educate. Other than to educate my purpose is to, of course, entertain. My peripheral audience is far most vast: adults that will sympathise with the young girl. This could be people in professions such as teaching or social workers, but applies to all potential groups who would feel empathetic towards the child.
