The document defines and discusses the theological concept of propitiation. It explains that propitiation refers to appeasing an offended party to regain their favor, such as by offering a gift. In Christianity, propitiation refers to Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross, which satisfied God's justice and turned away his wrath against humanity for their sins. Through Jesus' blood, God's mercy is now freely available to all who accept it, and believers no longer need to fear God's anger or wrath against them.

This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.

Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers.
