This study explored differences in reading attitudes and preferences between gifted and non-gifted elementary students in Turkey. Prior research on this topic had inconsistent findings and did not examine Turkish students. The researchers administered a survey measuring academic and recreational reading attitudes as well as reading preferences. Results found no significant differences in reading attitudes between gifted and non-gifted students. However, significant differences were found in reading preferences between the groups. The findings provide valuable information for Turkish education and address gaps in prior research.
