CERTIFICATE FOR ENGLISH TEACHERS

                  Module 3 – Language Development I Assessment project

Based on the concepts and ideas discussed in this module and choosing a particular class,
you are required to design, deliver and analyze a lesson based on one the following
aspects:
        Phonology
        Syntax (grammar analysis)
        Semantics (vocabulary presentation, practice and reinforcement activities)
        Study Skills
Explain the main purpose behind focusing on that specific area and how you expect to
positively impact your class by adding this new area of language to your learners' practice.
Once implemented, discuss your findings in terms of the benefit perceived in your
classroom and what changes would it be necessary to make if it were to be implemented
in your other classes.
A successful project should include:
Purpose behind focusing on the chosen area (first paragraph).
Group profile, including previous knowledge (second paragraph).
Detailed analysis of the lesson's outcome, including evidence of concept understanding
related to the area to be focused on. (third, fourth paragraphs)
Conclusion: necessary changes to be made for improvement (last paragraph).
Lesson plan provided with the tools to be used, e.g. texts, worksheets, recordings, etc.).
Evidence of its implementation (samples of learners' work, photographs, video, etc.).
The project should be handed in as follows:
- Word document including word count (700 to 750 words-not included in the lesson
plan).
- Font: Arial, Tahoma, Times New Roman. Size: 10 Spacing: double
- Header with name, date, name of institution, module number and title.


           Deadline: ____October 14, 2011_____

CERTIFICATE FOR ENGLISH TEACHERS Module 3 – Language Development I Assessment project Based on the concepts and ideas discussed in this module and choosing a particular class, you are required to design, deliver and analyze a lesson based on one the following aspects:  Phonology  Syntax (grammar analysis)  Semantics (vocabulary presentation, practice and reinforcement activities)  Study Skills Explain the main purpose behind focusing on that specific area and how you expect to positively impact your class by adding this new area of language to your learners' practice. Once implemented, discuss your findings in terms of the benefit perceived in your classroom and what changes would it be necessary to make if it were to be implemented in your other classes. A successful project should include: Purpose behind focusing on the chosen area (first paragraph). Group profile, including previous knowledge (second paragraph). Detailed analysis of the lesson's outcome, including evidence of concept understanding related to the area to be focused on. (third, fourth paragraphs) Conclusion: necessary changes to be made for improvement (last paragraph). Lesson plan provided with the tools to be used, e.g. texts, worksheets, recordings, etc.). Evidence of its implementation (samples of learners' work, photographs, video, etc.). The project should be handed in as follows: - Word document including word count (700 to 750 words-not included in the lesson plan). - Font: Arial, Tahoma, Times New Roman.
