1. PROGRESS REPORT (France , May, 2009)
2.Partnership Content:
2.1.a Brief Description of Partnsrship Activities:
1-December. 2007.............Stockholm Conference : Preparation meeting with all the involved
countries to plan Comenius joint Project ( Lifelong Learning Programme).
2.-September 2008 …........Informing teachers and students involved in the Project. Setting up
of Project at the School. Disseminting of the Project to the School Community.
3.-Planning of curricular activities for 08/09 academic year.
4.-Students introduce themselves to each other and composing of groups participating in the
Project at a school scale. Then matching of differents groups from the schools partners.
5.-Students start working Phase I in the Project on a regular basis.
6.-Preliminary common questionaire on enviromental issues is answered by the students.
7.-Students prepare their presentations on local water management. (Posters. Power Point,
etc.) .
8.-December 2008...........The first network Confrence in Spain:
8.a Presentations of the results from the involved countries
8.b Creation of a Web page www.watercomenius.wordpress.com putting their results
on it.
8.cEducational visits to: Local partner in Benidorm Town Hall.
Water recycling Plant in Valencia.

Visit to the Wetlands in Albufera (Valencia)
8.dPreparing students activities for Phase II.
8.e Making a timetable for activities to be carried out before the May Conference in
France.
8.f Press Conference in Spain to present the Comenius project.

11.- Swedish school was selected Comenius Ambassador School by the Swedish National
Agency.

- Visit and work field in Nature Reserve “Sierra Helada” (Benidorm)

–Excursion for students through the maritime Nature Reserve.
–Programme for April Health and Environment Fair.
–Meeting with the Enviromental Network
–Presentation of Comenius Project to the Nature Reserve (Sweden)
–Lecture about “Environment in the Artic”, related to global warming.

16.dOther activities:
-Scientific experiments with water by the students
- Preparation of Phase III, answering the main question: “What are the effects of global warming on
water management from a
geographical,social,political and economic point of view?”
- Agreements on further meetings: Sweden 30th Nov- 4th Dec. , 2009 and Holland, 25th- 29th May,
2010
- Updating the Web page.
2.1.b Results achieved so far:
–Students have identified sustainable solutions for water management.
–Research has been carried out in English.
–Students have reflected on different aspects of local and regional management of water and its
consquences.
–Students have worked together regardless of social, ethnical or national background.
–Several visits have been done to local authorities ( see above).
–Communication between participating countries has been stablished by e.mail, web page, in person,
etc.
–Students have learned to work with international deadlines.
–Students and teachers have answered three questionaires ( see above).
–The students have worked on the project on a regular basis.The project has been integrated in the
schools' curricula.
–Information has been spread to local authorities, participating organizations, media, parents and
studens, others schools and local partners.
– Tangible material has been produced ( see above)
2.2Problems/obstacles met the implementation of the Partenership:
–Technical problems in communication due to the use different computer software in the involved
countries. These problems have delayed the process and decreased the motivation of the students the
communication did not fulfilled their expectations.
–Difficulties in making a timetable due to differences in availability of schools, for example, holidays
and exams.
