This document provides biographies for the cast and crew of the production "Dragon Feathers", a Bavarian folktale adapted for the stage. It is being produced by The Urban Spectrum theatre company. The production crew includes Lisa Vang as Production Coordinator and Graphic Designer, Dan Mariska as Stage Manager, and Andrew Macht as Technical Director. The cast includes Laura Galaviz as Isabella, Suzanne Natala as The Dragon's Wife, and John Kuhnel as The Dragon. The Urban Spectrum has been providing multi-cultural entertainment in the Twin Cities for 38 years.

Biographies Continued
Judy Cooper Lyle, Producer/Co-Director, writes many and directs most of the
company’s shows. She is also a costume and fashion designer.
Lameka McKenzie, Ensemble, is a dancer, singer, actress, and model originally
from Des Moines, Iowa. She was a singer/vocalist with the band Cleopatrix.
Larry McKenzie, Scriptwriter, is a writer and creator. He writes poetry, short
stories, and is working on his third novel called, “The Seven Legion of Arms.”
Laura Galaviz, “Isabella,” is majoring in psychology and art. She spends her time
on art, music, and school projects and loves making people smile.
Lisa Vang, Production Coordinator/Graphic Designer, has an Associate’s in Graphic
Design and a Diploma in Creative Writing. She is pursuing her B.F.A. in Comic Art.
Mike Hill, Set Designer, is a graphic designer and artist who has lived in Minnesota
his whole life. His variety of skills has allowed him to work in multiple industries.
Nicholas Luciow, Ensemble, is in his third year at the U of M studying music. He is
lead vocals in a band and also loves performing.
Penny Masuku, Choreographer/Co-Director/Ensemble, is a runway/print model
who also choreographed and starred as Alice in “Alice in Wonderland.”
Suzanne Natala, “Dragon’s Wife,” is an emerging actress. She paints and enjoys
dancing, jogging, yoga, and spending time with her family.
Vinyarie Smith, Ensemble, is a runway/print model in the Metro. She performed in
several shows for Urban Spectrum and The City, including “Alice in Wonderland.”
The set piece (arch) from the show is available for sale for $50,
but must be taken immediately after the show on Saturday night.

Plans have been made for the company’s 2013-14 season, which will
include a 4-play series of staged play readings by up-and-coming
playwrights from the area in the spring of 2013, and a children’s play,
“The Toys Take over Christmas,” as the holiday show. Throughout
2013, the company will also be “work-shopping” and writing a “pre-
quel” to the highly successful production of “Honeydripper,” by John

Biographies
Andrew Macht, Technical Director, is a multimedia production artist who works
with video post-production, music production, and video game audio production.
Bill Gorman, “Senor Perez,” has played a variety of roles around the Metro area.
He enjoys doing film, commercials, and voice-overs.
Brenda Spriggs, Costume Designer, holds a B.A. in Social Work. Currently a Reserve
teacher for M.P. Schools, she performed in several community productions.
Chevell Taylor, Ensemble, is an instructor for the dance style “popping.” He has
been dancing for 6 years.
Dan Mariska, Stage Manager, is also a local musician. This is his first show with
the company.
Eric Robinson, “Alejandro,” is an actor from the Twin Cities. He has done many
stage performances including “The Colored Museum” and “Dead Man Walking.”
Frederick Thomas, Drummer, has played with a variety of local and national bands.
He is performing/recording locally and this is his second show with the company.
Gabriela Santiago, Front House Manager, is an after school instructor with Youth
Enrichment League and a board member at Patrick’s Cabaret.
Jason Sticka, Lighting Designer, served in the Army for 6 years and has been
doing freelance stage work for the last 10 years.
Jimmy Kruchten, Guitarist, he was born in Coon Rapids and loves music and art.
Playing guitar for 11 years, he attends the Minneapolis Media Institute.
Joey Peeples-Hampton, Ensemble, is pleased to make his performance debut with
the company. He has performed in many shows around the Twin Cities.
John Kuhnel, Dragon, was raised in Crawford, Nebraska and joined the Army after
high school. He aspires to perform in theatre.
