Teacher, Marketer, Driver and so on
Profession is a paid occupation
Example: Medicine, Banking, Farming,
Teaching, Marketing and so on.

A natural environment is one with all living and
non-living things occurring naturally (that is in
nature), meaning in this case not artificial(or
man-made).
So examples of things that occur in nature(or

and the atmosphere.

11. A Man-made Environment is an
environment that is influenced by humans. It
is human made surroundings that provide the
setting for human activity. They are not
natural, so they are artificial.
Examples of man-made things: buildings,
parks, transportation systems (railways,
roads, airports), bridges, market and
electricity.

14. Benefits of the Natural Environment.
Plants:
Plants are essential part of life on the Earth. They
play an important role in the lives of animals as well as in
humans. There are several different ways in which plant
play their roles in helping us daily.
Who can give us some examples of the benefits
Of plants?

15. NOW, to the most common and popular benefit of
plants!
•Food: Plants provide food to humans as well as
animals. Plants prepare their food themselves by
photosynthesis but plants are used by other living
beings for food purpose. We get cereals, legumes,
vegetables and fruits.

16. •Clothes: Plants like cotton provide us clothes
to wear and other materials like towels,
cotton buds and cotton wool.

17. •Oxygen: Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release
oxygen in the air that is used by all living beings for
breathing. So if we want to have cleaner air is to have
more trees!
•Medicines: Several plants are used for medicinal
purpose. Example: Aloe vera which is used for skin
problems.

18. •Paper: We get paper from the wood of trees , the
wood of trees are made of tiny strands called fibre
stuck together by a material called lignin. So, fibres
are the basic elements to produce paper.
•Water: Plants regulate the water cycle. They move
water from soil to atmosphere through a process
called transpiration

19. •We also get wood from trees to make furniture and to build
houses
•Plants also provide shade for us
•Plants serve as habitats for animals and for food as well.

Animals:
Animals are of great importance for life on the
Earth. They play significant roles in the lives of plants
as well as in humans. There are several different ways
in which animals play their roles in helping us daily.
Who can give us some examples of the benefits
Of animals?

21. NOW, to the most common and popular benefit of
plants!
•Food: Animals provide food to humans and even for
other animals. Most animals eat plants as food
(Herbivorous animals) while others eat other
animals (Carnivorous)
Examples: beef, pork, fish ,chicken, eggs and milk.
We also get HONEY from bees.

22. • Wool and Silk: Wool is obtained from the fur of animals like
sheep, goat. And is used for making woolly clothes to keep
us warm during rainy season. Woolly yarn is also used to
make wool blankets and carpets.
There are silk-worms feeding on mulberry leaves.
These worms produce silk-threads which we get from cocoon.
These threads may be dyed into different color to have
colored silk-clothes.

23. • Leather: When animals die, their hides or skins are taken
out. These hides are coated with different types of
chemicals and dried in sunlight. That gives us leather which
we use to make various kinds of things such as belts, shoes,
purses, bags, etc.
Using, the ivory or outer teeth of elephants many beautiful
decorative articles are made.
• Manure: Animal dung and bird-drop-pings are used for
making manures. Manures help maintain fertility of the soil.

24. There are so many benefits of plants and animals, so we need
them.
We also need natural resources like AIR and WATER and we need
them to be clean and free from pollution, so that we can be
healthy.
NOW, imagine a world without clean air and water and even food(
that is plants and animals) we’d all fall sick and eventually die.
Have you ever imagined not breathing for a whole day or let’s say
10 minutes and For how long can you stay without water: either
for drinking, bathing or cooking.
Or a world without plants and animals!!! (Who can give examples
of what would happen)
IT WOULD BE FATAL!!!

25. Without clean water, plants and animals would not survive,
neither would WE.
This is exactly what we ENVIRONMENTALIST are against!
WE do not want this to happen.
So what do we, ENVIRONMENTALIST DO

26. ENVIRONMENTALISTS PROTECT, PRESERVE AND CONSERVE
OUR NATURAL RESOURCES.
Which includes air, water, plants and animals.
We do this by managing waste, because we humans release
a lot of waste in our daily lives, and they pollute and destroy
the environment.
So how do we manage waste that can pollute or natural
resources; by reducing our waste, re-using them and
recycling them in doing this we protect our environment.
We educate people as well, as we are doing now!!
We plant trees (afforestation), because we need them!
