Dear Mr. Jones,
You do a lot for the community already with the Oshkosh Corporation, could you be
doing even more? You most likely can do something more in the community. I have
a plan to tell you about how you can help a family in need.
Background and Purpose
On May third of this year, Arya Vaughn had a tragic accident with a car on her
bicycle. Her father was trying to teach her to ride a two-wheeler with no training
wheels and she lost control of her bicycle and fell into oncoming traffic. Arya would
have been 5 this next week. Her family is in financial need, she has a little brother
too. I would like them to be able to make a scholarship for a dance class for other
kids too. She loved to dance and music.
Proposed Plan of Action
I propose that we put on a concert with a few local worship bands and the artist We
Are Messengers for a charity concert for the Vaughn family, We are Messengers was
one of Arya’s favorite music artists. I would like it to be called “Concert for Arya”. We
will sell tickets and I would like to see if one of the tee shirts making companies in
Oshkosh would like to help with making shirts for the event. Other fundraisers for
the family have had great success so I expect this one to have a good turnout also.

July 14, 2018-Book the venue, The Howard in downtown Oshkosh
July 17, 2018-Finalize the artists especially We are Messengers
July 20, 2018-finalize the companies doing lighting and sound
July 31, 2018-finalize all staffing and logistics
August 8, 2018-Finalize schedule of the day
August 19, 2018-Date of Concert
Staffing
To staff the concert is not going to be that hard while we all have done these things
before, we are all on a voluntary basis.
