06.02.13 I created my production log and schedule to help me with my project management. I also
started work with lightbot which I found difficult as I had not yet acquired any skills. It did
not take me long to become accustomed to them but I was a minor setback.
07.02.13 I created my mood board and soon after carried on working on the lightbot. I still struggled
using the new tools but after asking for help I achieved an understanding. I found that once
I had moved on that I was able to complete my work fairly quickly and efficiently well with
the help of the teacher.
08.02.13 Moving on from the mood board I carried on with the Lightbot yet again, I found that the
magic bevel tool was difficult to use however soon developed new skills helping me master
Light wave modeller.
2. 15.02.13 Once I knew how to use most of the tools in Light wave Modellerit became clearer and
easier for me to create the lamp.
16.02.13 I have now began to model near professionally as I am aware and making use of the short
keys. This helps a lot as most tools are represented as a letter.
17.02.13 After following the tutorials on the lamp I began to discover even more tools. I found these
tools very useful in creating pipes and it was even more easier to just duplicate something I
created. However here I had to tackle an obstacle, I had found that I had accidentally
duplicated an item on to the same layer as its original. I learned that this made it difficult for
me to select certain areas. After asking for help from the teacher the problem was solved. I
learned that keeping my work/project tidy and neat would help me locate items easier and
also be able to select areas of the lamp quicker.
3. 22.02.13 I have finished my Lightbot today with the help of the videos; I found that the most useful
tool was he bevel as it would help me create a range of objects. I have now started to draw
what my character will look like from the help of my mood board. I have planned it out on
the design pack given. I realised that knowing how the bevel tool worked it would became
easier to create my robot.
23.02.13 I began with the head and continued to work on the body. After an arm had been created I
duplicated and pasted on to another layer. The same occurred for the leg and hands.
24.02.13 I realised my project Charter had not been completed and so went back to write it up. This
did not take long because I had already done most of the work.
4. 01.03.13 It took a reasonable amount of time to create my designed robot sidekick as I found it
difficult discovering everything myself. Using the skills I had gained from the lightbot
exercise I continued to make progression with my work.
02.03.13 Because of the tutorial videos and the skill on using the bevel tool It became really easy for
me start making my own robot, I found That overall I was using the bevel tool the most and
I found it very effective in creating my work. I was near completion of my work.
03.03.13 Towards the completion of my robot sidekick, I started to surface my robot this was to
make sure that It would be easier to skin and texture in the next process.
10.03.13
11.03.13 After I had done the surfaces to my robot, I had to take screenshots in order to have
evidence of what I had done.
12.03.13
19.03.13 I have begun to evaluate the current project. I found unit 66 very difficult and frustrating as
modelling is a very hard skill to master.
20.03.13
5. 21.03.13 I am starting to upload my work to blogger.
22.03.13 Uploading my work didn’t take an awful amount of time. I believe I am ready to begin unit
68 Environments using the modelling skills I have acquired.
