The customer, an automation systems integrator and manufacturer established in 1989, required a lower-cost and reliable embedded PC solution to use as a production information networking device for managing their high-performance injection molding machines. The proposed ICO300 system from Axiomtek offers a fanless, DIN-rail mounted design with an Intel Atom processor, wireless 3G/GPS connectivity, and temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius to meet the customer's needs at a competitive price point. The ICO300 would collect production records, enable remote monitoring and diagnosis, and connect the injection molding machines to the customer's network and backend systems.
