Megan has been working on a project to learn guitar and create an original song. Over several sessions spanning two months, she practiced scales, chords, and songs with her project facilitator Rick. Megan worked to finish writing her song and practiced daily on her own as well. While she struggled at times, Megan found inspiration from jamming with her father and his friend and felt proud of the progress she has made in her guitar skills and songwriting abilities.

Today I met with my project facilitator I’m happy in learning
December 12, 2012 Rick and I learned how to play the one of my favorite
song “Wiseman” by Slightly Stoopid. I songs!

learned how to write them on a scale. still have a lot to
accomplish!
PRACTICE MAKES
Tonight I practiced “Wiseman”, and I PERFECT!
8:45 - 9:45 got all the chords down, till my fingers
started hurting.
Commentary:
Today I found that this project has a lot
of work to be done to get the final
product, it is kind of making me
nervous, that I have to develop a talent
even if I don’t feel like I’m not good
enough now. But I have confidence in
myself and I will finish and come to a
masterpiece! This is a learning
experience for me and I am willing to
do this! I just hope I can finish in time!
