Abstract
In the following paper, the authors will discuss the marketing process of a new green building material made from basic glass wine bottles. The team will discuss how to create a solid marketing plan for the new product with an emphasis on knowing your target audience, tracking and managing the stages, and understanding how our product will be presented to the consumer.
New Product Launch Marketing Plan
Introduction
Our company is in the beginning stages of marketing a new eco-friendly building material, which will consist of recyclable glass wine bottles. Our wine bottles will be made into bricks and filler material to use in the construction of buildings. Although the product is in its concept stage, our team has begun to develop a marketing plan that will determine our target markets interests in the product, how to track the stages of development, the product concept and guarantees, as well as our positioning statement
Target Market
Wine bottles are a product that can be sold to consumers around the world, but before investing in advertising we need to make sure that the target market is interested in investing. Aiming for the right target market will expand our options for potential buyers, customize our market profile, and will help target the right audience.
Demographically, we need to educate ourselves in the industry that would invest in wine bottles as fillers to build landscapes. The fact that “our Government leaders have provided the necessary financial incentives to help businesses to implement a greener environment (Spors, 2012), works to our advantage in producing a green alternative building material. It is our hopes that the reaction we will gain from our new customers is loyalty, based on the idea that they are supporting a company that is eco-friendly. Looking to take our product internationally is also on our priority list, since glass is 100% recyclable, many low-income communities can benefit from materials that can be recycled to produce more of the same product. This inexpensive landfill item is becoming popular in some countries and is being used to build homes, and economically glass wine bottles are an excellent alternative. Reactions of local consumers are greatly influenced by culture, social, personal and psychological factors; In order to expand the wine filler industry, we will need to make sure we understand our customers’ needs and wants.
Managing PLC Stages
Knowing and understanding our target market is the first step, but keeping track of where a product is currently in their life cycle allows for identifying what actions are necessary for the product, price, and promotion and place (aka Fou.

Business Sustainability
This is the management of the environmental, social and financial demand so
as to attain the ethical, responsible and on-going success of the company or
organization. Sustainability is generally where the company satisfies the demands of
the customers, workers and the environment so as to attain the success of the
organization.
Sustainability is geared by three main themes. These are ecology, society and
economy. Any company is supposed to satisfy the ecological needs of the
environment so as to maintain the success. This is because customers are not
attracted by an organization which is not concerned with the conservation of the
environment (Carroll & Buchholtz, 2014).
Society sustainability is where the company tries to satisfy the demands of the
consumers by giving the quality products. This is because consumers are attracted
to organizations which are producing quality products so as to satisfy their needs.
Economical sustainability is whereby the company comes up with strategies which
will help them to catch up with the growing economy of the country, and also observe
the prices of their products so that they may not be higher than the economical level
of the country. When prices are high the consumers tend to go to the competitors of
the organization who sell their products at a cheaper price.
Businesses define sustainability as the ability and process of satisfying the
needs of the consumers so as to attract more customers than their competitors.
They focus on ecology, society and economical sustainability (Carroll & Buchholtz,
2014). Companies tend to come up with campaigns for conservation of the
environment and production of environmental friendly products so as to attract

customers. For example, since 1990 Top Shelf Company was dominating the shoe
industry in the world. But by the year 2001, another company came up and started
producing shoes which would not pollute the environment. It was even found out that
Top Shelf used methods which were not environmental friendly. This reason led to
the new company competing with Top Shelf in the market and the sales of Top Shelf
started reducing. The other definition of sustainability by businesses is that they
satisfy the needs of their workers (society) hence increasing their production. For
example, it was noticed that Top Shelf paid their workers poorly hence leading to a
reduction in the number of sales. This is because customers are attracted to the
organizations which are observing the rights of the workers and consumers. Top
Shelf used to pay their workers poorly so as to reduce the cost of production but this
led to a decrease in the number of sales when a competitor company came up.

Open Innovation - The Customer as a development partnerVincent Aydin
The internet has redefined the relationship between firms and their customers. Customers are able and willing to take part in
development processes: They voice their opinion
about products that are about to be released to
the market, bring in new ideas, test prototypes and
promote new innovation via social networks. How do you take advantage of this?
Co-creation is a hot topic these days. Involving customers in the decision flow of a brand/company is one of the cool, new ways of doing marketing. In our research we found that some companies go a few steps further. Some succeed in intergrating the voice of the customer in ALL their decision flows. This paper describes the different steps to evolve from a one time co-creation project to structural collaboration.
The Dilemma of Better is an excerpt from a series of posts on LinkedIn concerning how to define the word Better in the context of the Front End of Innovation. The paper uses a new cleaning product as a case to illustrate some tools to help break down value into easy to understand elements. The elements include product functions, brand, quality, performance and price.

4. THE EARTH IS WHAT WE
ALL HAVE IN COMMON.
WENDELL BERRY
POTENTIAL CUSTOMER
My business company is based on business to consumer (B2B), who targeted straight on
young to adult consumers who are willingly to pay a certain amount of price for the best
quality of a shoe and for the sustainable purpose of the product on saving the earth. The
term business-to-consumer (B2C) refers to the process of selling products and services
directly between a business and consumers who are the end-users of its products or
services. Most companies that sell directly to consumers can be referred to as B2C
companies.
5. DEMOGRAPHY
OF CUSTOMER/
PERSONA
On average, the demography of my
customers are mostly young adults who
aged between 22- 32 years old. They are
mostly working people who are looking
forward to a healthy and sustainable
lifestyle. Most of them preferred to go for
jogs on the weekend and fill their leisure
time on their off day for a voluntary at the
recycle waste centre and even actively join
any environmentalist talks or mission
whenever there are any. They lived in a sub
urban area and waged around RM2500 to
RM5000 a month.
6. Mostly on social media apps paid ads such as on Instagram, Twitter,
Facebook, YouTube, TikTok. For the social media, it’s very common to see
most new products to be advertised on these widely famous apps and most
people make use of the platform by not paying the company, but instead by
paying the people which are the influencers. By doing so, I can get the
engagements that I wanted based on their followers and how much has it
been shared to the target viewers.
SALES AND MARKETING
STRATEGY
8. PRODUCT
DISTRIBUTION
I planned to distribute the product
through online selling since everything
works well online now and today, we have
everything what we need in just one click.
I planned on designing a custom website
for this product with the full information,
specifications, range of colour, materials,
and everything from scratch about this
shoe that I’m selling to persuade and to
gain consumers trust for this new product.
It will look like a normal product selling
website that has plenty choices of shoes
to choose from, price, and the checkout
page.
9. WHO ARE MY COMPETITORS?
My competitors would be the Adidas company since they are a well-
known company into inventing eco friendly product such as running
shoe. In year 2020, the Adidas company made a sustainable shoe
made out of Parley Ocean Plastic to help end plastic waste as part of
their campaign. They are considered as my competitors since they are
an established company and obviously all of their designs are
patented and they have their own target user and loyal customers.
10. PRODUCING
THE PRODUCT
For the time being, I plan to produce the
product locally and try not to fabricate or
manufacture it in China as that will
consume more money and energy for the
quality control and site visit. Instead, I will
try to outsource the manufacturing locally
and before that I need to do some
research on the factory, a lot planning,
defining the budget for each batch of
production, finding a team with high
skillsets in sales and marketing and many
more that will be put under consideration.
11. Liquidation
Liquidation is one of the most final
exit strategies that i will use to sell of
my assets, Any cash earned must go
toward paying off debts and
shareholders (if there are any in my
company in the future).
Management and
employee buyouts
In management buyouts, those
already working within the business
are able to transition into more senior
roles to fill the gap in leadership. As
the management team is already
familiar the company business, they
should be well equipped to manage
the company.
EXIT STRATEGIES
12. COMPETITORS
PRODUCT
BENCHMARK
The competitor’s products that I
can benchmark and compare
with is the Adidas Parley x
AdiZero which made in part with
Parley Ocean Plastic and Vivaia
company which produces knitted
uppers for their shoes from
recycled plastics.
13. COSTING
ESTIMATION
The materials that I have planned on using
for this shoe is basely from recycle waste
materials mainly PET plastic bottles. These
materials are not that costly and its pretty
easy to obtain. The problem here is, for the
research and development process, this
material can’t be used legitimately straight
for a shoe making since it doesn’t have a
strong base and could cause in less durability
and can easily tear. Hence, few other
materials and polymers need to be
considered into making this shoe 100%
sustainable and eco-friendly such as
combining it with natural fibers to complete
the making.
14. COMPONENT ANALYSIS
An environmentally friendly shoe component provided by an embodiment of the
present creation is in the shape of a sheet, suitable for being installed in a shoe,
and includes debris and an elastic material layer, and the debris is distributed on
the elastic material layer Among them, the crumbs include plastic bottle crumbs
made by crushing plastic bottles.
Another environmentally friendly shoe component provided by an embodiment of
the present creation is in a sheet shape, suitable for being installed in a shoe, and
includes debris, an elastic material layer, and a thermoplastic polyurethane layer as
the surface of the environmentally friendly shoe component.
17. USER EXPERIENCE IN
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Initial studies of UX or user experience are conducted in the early stages of product
development. They help the team to understand the target audience of the product,
when and how users will use it and what tasks or problems can be solved with its help.
For my company, user experience is very important as it will help me better on my
product design development based on people’s review for the product.
There are many examples in using UX in developing the product is to think potential
customers and make a lot of testing on the shoe and conduct surveys to have a better
understanding on the target user’s desire and final preference.
