Futuristic

The problem is it
take’s a lot of space
and it have some
sharp edges, the lamp
is made of wood so
it’s not fire proof and
not that strong to not
break when falling on
the floor

working Futuristic lamp
for all kind of people,
This lamp will give good
lighting for the room
and any stress induced
by the lights, This
should help people go
through their day

5. EXISTING PRODUCT ANALYSIS
Safety
- Lamp is open in the
middle for a different
futuristic design and it
lets the heat leave lamp
instead of closed lamp
that will collect it.
Problems
- The problem is that the
lamp lights will get hot
and a young person
would touch and he will
probably burn himself
- The stand and the design
this squared shape design
with a small stand that
will break with enough
pressure.
Aesthetics
- It looks different than most
of the lamps and it’s a new of
creating lamp and it give out
perfect amount of light

simple touch it can fall
and might break the
bulb.

futuristic and doesn’t look
like the usual and the light
will be bright on the main
side because of the shape.

because it looks like a
futuristic lamp you can

balance it will need a
strong thing to push it
and make it fall.
Problems
. This lamp looks
simple but in the same
time have the shape of
a traditional lamp like
the old lamps so little
people have would
have interest in buying
them.

auto switch off when it
will keep using power
And mostly wasted on
heat.
Aesthetics
. The lamp looks
simple and make a
perfect brightness from
down and up and the
brightness around is
also decent and not
low.

a cheap lamp and want
a simple and age will
be a teenager or above
because of the color.

that it is so it wont be

light brightness so you will need other
main lamp,
The lamp will be expensive because of

Acrylic plastic:
ADVANTAGES:
- Inexpensive.
- Lightweight. It is far lighter than glass.
-Range of colors and styles. Acrylic plastic
can be found in almost any color as well
as in a transparent, translucent and
opaque form.
- It withstands bad management, and
does not shatter as easily as glass.
- Can easily be fabricated and molded
into shape.
- Can be cut using CAD CAM (laser cutter)
to form detailed designs.
DISADVANTAGES:
- They are not biodegradable, therefore
they are difficult to recycle.
- Acrylic scratches easily, therefore
damaging the aesthetics of the product.
- chips easily when dropped.
- High amounts of toxicity.
Light bulb:
Advantages:
- Inexpensive.
- Take’s a long time to
burn.
Disadvantages
- Heat up fast.
- Use a lot power
mostly wasted on
heat.
- Creates heat.
ADVANTAGES
- Allows materials of different sizes and composition to
join together.
- Can protect against corrosion.
- Does not deform material, therefore reducing
manufacturing cost and improving aesthetics.
- Reduces no. of components such as screws required.

- Is not resistant to temperature.
- Requires time to cure. - Requires surface preparation.

be really bright and not low, Easy to turn
on or off and it’s can be used for more
than one thing
14. I had to look at the developed design
and think of which pieces and what
quantity will I need them in. I also
had to figure out the dimensions for
the pieces, and they had to be in all
relation to each other, so there is not
even a single clash in sizes. All these
dimensions were put into a CAD/CAM
software and drawn through software

Here I have developed the
stand to make the product
look more aesthetically
pleasing and to make the
product more stable. From
talking to my client they like
the 3rd idea.
15. I used 2D design to sketch the 2 faces of
the product inspired from sketch 5. It
was a better way to manufacture the
lamp model in this way, because it would
have been difficult to include the curves
of cardboard etc.
17. M.E.S.S. DEVELOPMENT
• Reuse
• The material that I will use the most
• is plastic. Not any type of plastic the
• Plastic is acrylic plastic
• recyclable and it non harming
plastic.

Recycle
Most of my lamp can be
recycled because I will use
recyclable acrylic
plastic and acrylic
which also it can be recycled and
that will be a big improvement in
the non effecting environment lamp
Repair
If the led light did not work the
lamp will fail. So I have a back
door for the lamp if the LED fails
of dies I can change it easily.
Reduce
I will use a layer of glass and mirror
on my lamp where it will be in
small amount so my lamp be more
friendly to the environment.
Rethink
I think I could replace the mirror
to a reflection acrylic plastic witch it
makes the lamp much safer and
better for children also.
Repair
If the led light did not work the
lamp will fail. So I have a back
door for the lamp if the LED fails
of dies I can change it easily.
Refuse
I would rather use pine than
acrylic plastic
because pine wood in faster to
grow but
hard plastic takes long time
and that will
effect the environment.
19. • This is my final design because after combining
My two final designs to make it better by using
Cube design for the above part of the lamp and the
triangular pyramid as the stand to make it more
stable and more futuristic looking. And I changed
the lower part of the cube because I want to hide
the magnet which will let the light bulb work and
float.
My client is interested in one of a kind items and my
client, has interesting in futuristic looking stuff and
likes simple colors and wants a color that will be
perfect with any color same as how the sky color
fits everything around us.
20. Making Diary
Firstly I cut the
square wood , six
pieces 40 cm W x
40 cm H and then
sand it to get
smooth wood
Secondly, I connect
the pieces with
wood rectangle
and nail it together
for a strong frame
And neat.
Thirdly I paint
the wood for a
unique look and
protection .
Finally I connect
the lights, to light
up the place
