What Affects Weather Patterns
1) A place's latitude and proximity to oceans or large bodies of water help determine its climate and weather patterns. Locations closer to the equator tend to be warmer, while areas farther from the equator experience more distinct seasons.
2) Climate zones like polar, temperate, and tropical regions exist depending on latitude. Hemispheres also influence seasons, with the northern and southern hemispheres experiencing opposite seasonal changes at the same time.
3) Geography such as mountains and bodies of water further impact local weather. Mountains can create rain shadows - dry areas on their leeward sides. Meanwhile, coastal areas tend to have milder temperatures regulated by the moderating effect of oceans.

Fronts
Fronts are boundaries where two different air masses meet. A cold front occurs when a cold air mass pushes beneath a warm air mass, often bringing strong storms like thunderstorms or snowstorms and a drop in temperature. A warm front happens as a warm air mass slowly moves over a cold air mass, producing stratus clouds and rain and eventually causing temperatures to rise. Stationary fronts can also form when air masses stop moving against each other, leading to prolonged clouds and precipitation.
Air Masses
An air mass is a large body of air that covers thousands of square kilometers and has consistent temperature and moisture levels throughout. There are four main types of air masses: continental polar (cold and dry), maritime polar (cold and humid), continental tropical (warm and dry), and maritime tropical (warm and humid). Weather maps are used to track the movement of air masses, which can significantly impact weather conditions over wide areas.

Wind is produced by differences in air pressure and temperature, with high winds occurring during storms like blizzards, tornadoes, and hurricanes.

Industrial Revolution - Transportation

Texas and The Mexican American War
American settlers in Texas rebelled against Mexican rule in 1835 and declared independence in 1836. Texas remained an independent republic for nine years before becoming a U.S. state in 1845. This led the U.S. and Mexico to go to war from 1846 to 1848 over the boundary between Texas and Mexico. Through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, Mexico ceded much of the modern Southwest to the U.S., including California, Nevada, Utah, and parts of other states, in exchange for $15 million. This war significantly increased U.S. territory and the number of Mexican citizens living under American rule.

There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

The temple and the sanctuary around were dedicated to Asklepios Zmidrenus. This name has been known since 1875 when an inscription dedicated to him was discovered in Rome. The inscription is dated in 227 AD and was left by soldiers originating from the city of Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv).
