Notes On Improving Analytical Thinking Skills
Refection on Chapter Four: Improving Analytical Thinking Skills Analytical thinking is a basic
segment of visual thinking that provides for one the capacity to take care of issues rapidly and
successfully. It includes an orderly regulated methodology to imagining that allows you to break
down, intricate issues into single and sensible parts. Expository speculation includes the
procedure of social affair, significant data and distinguishing key issues identified with this data.
This kind of speculation additionally obliges you to analyze sets of information from diverse
sources; distinguish conceivable circumstances and end results examples, and reach proper
inferences from these datasets with a specific end goal to land at suitable arrangements. The
content of this paper explores on ways of improving analytical skills as discussed in chapter four.
(Carter, Bishop Kravits, 2012). As per Robert Sternberg s story, he proposed hypothesis of human
intelligence, a typical set of widespread mental procedures underlies all parts of brainpower. In
spite of the fact that the specific answers for issues that are viewed as intelligence in one society
may be not quite the same as those considered smart in an alternate, the mental techniques required
to achieve these arrangements are the same. Metacomponents, or official courses of action,
empower an individual to arrange what to do, screen things as they are generally done, and assess
things after they are carried out. Execution

The Impossibility Of Imprisoning The Mind
To Althea, from Prison : Richard Lovelace (Close read)
Lovelace s poem To Althea, from Prison expresses two concepts: the impossibility of
imprisoning the mind and therefore the impossibility of repressing one s belief in a cause, or in
this case, a person. The initial lack of explicitness of the meaning of the poem is exemplified by
the mysteriousness of the woman, Althea, who is rather unspecific in description, and ethereal,
described as divine. Whether or not the woman was real, or herself imaginary is unimportant to
the poem, which is all about the lack of division between true reality and reality of the mind. The
juxtaposition between the body and the mind reflects the same conflict within Lovelace himself,
and in fact all Cavalier poets: the altogether real matters of war and politics and the expression of
poetry and imagination.
It is interesting that while the speaker is writing of freedom and the indomitability of the mind,
he describes himself as being tangled to Althea s hair and fetter d to her eye. This is language
undoubtedly of constraint, and seems to work in contention with the what in fact the speaker is
expressing; in fact, Lovelace is trying to express that even behind bars, and tangled and fetter d
in his own mind s eye, he is still freer than the birds he evokes. This nature imagery appears in the
first three stanzas of the poem, as does the ending line of know no such liberty, this repetition of
imagery, as well as the repetition of

Mademoiselle Reisz Analysis
The Influences of the Mademoiselle Reiz on the development of Edna Pontellier: Edna is the
protagonist of The Awakening by Kate Chopin. She is the wife of a New Orleans businessman.
She is not content with her marriage and the lifestyle that she must conform to. She changes
from her role as a devoted wife and mother to a woman who becomes engrossed in discovering
her own identity. She then goes through a series of experiences to satisfy herself mentally,
emotionally, and sexually. She changes from the woman of those times, who always stuck to
conformity, to someone who worries and is only responsible for herself. It is Mademoiselle who
influences her to become awakened in such a way. However this very awakening will be her
downfall. She will then begin to isolate herself from those around her and eventually choose
suicide as an escape. A main factor towards the development of Ednawould be Mademoiselle Reiz.
Her influence plays a vital role towards her awakening and change to her life style. From the
moment she heard Reiz play she had begun to be influenced. The very first chords Mademoiselle
Reisz struck on the piano sent a keen tremor down Mrs. Pontellier s spinal column. It was not the
first time she had heard an artist at the piano. Perhaps it was the first time she was ready, perhaps
the first time her being was tempered to take an impress of the abiding truth. (Chopin 29) . It can
be said that the change in Edna was sparked by this very moment. From here on Edna

Louisana Clean Air Act Essay
For this research paper, I chose to discuss the Louisiana air quality and its effects on the
community. I was raised here in Baker, Louisiana which is north of Baton Rouge. Growing up I
noticed something very striking and odd. We are overly exposed to chemical plants and their
outputs. Driving around Baton Rouge at night and seeing a distant flame I often wonder what it
really was. I wonder how this was affecting the community. How was this affecting our health?
Upon doing research, I discovered it is called upset emissions. Upset emissions are unplanned
events which release VOCs into the air. The Bucket Brigade which is an anti energy group refers
to emissions as accidents. Every year they release an annual report which gives... Show more

cancer in humans. In rebuttal the group Energize LA offers more accurate information.
Louisiana has been a part of this industry since 1909 when Standard oil of New Jersey choose

market capabilities. Energize LA is Louisiana s fuel and chemicals manufacturing sector served
as economic growth for Louisiana. It has been a steady flow of much needed income for the state.
The industry alone brings in over one billion dollars of revenue. From this industry over 150,000
jobs have been created it one of the sates main sources of revenue besides tourism. Now there is a
big push for cleaner air, safer communities, and jobs revenue and oppountiny. The Energize LA

expected social norms of the day. For example, All in all, Linderwall was a very prosperous and
pleasant place. Cimorene hated it........ Cimorene found it very dull, but she pressed her lips

something she enjoys and will not get lectured about it not being proper, and she would not have
an engagement with Therandil, the man she hates. This is of great importance since Cimorene
has never been able to fully enjoy anything that she has taken an interest to. In addition, she

Racial Tensions In America
As of recent the trending tales of police brutality have filled headlines and brought light to racial
tensions that have been brewing in America for centuries. We have seen over the past couple of
years an alarming increase of shootings in the African American community by law enforcement.
In like manner, we have seen a series of retaliation tactics and protest, both violent and peaceful.
And as we watch things unfold we question whether or not there is a real solution to the racial
tensions in America. Ironically, America is considered the melting pot of the world but still
promotes the theories of a homogeneous community and sways away from contact zones. Pratt

marginalized people are able to voice their own perspectives and experiences we are able to

its glorious fiction with bizarre and outlandish occurrences and it s boring mundane truth. As the

primarily a fictional recounting of the life of Edward Bloom. A majority of the plot takes place

the day of his son s birth using only his wedding ring. It is soon revealed in an argument scene

How Social Media Has On Marketers
Abstract Over the few years the online social networking trend has continued to grow
exponentially. Social media have always interested me and I have made it a point to always keep
myself updated with all the things happening on the online forum. Understanding brand
perspective has always excited me and hence the reason for this kind of review was to see the
impact social media has on marketers. The method was to study several articles related to the topic
of interest and understanding the growth of this media and how brands are benefitting from it.

In order to provide information, an efficient social media requires in building a platform for the
target markets in order to communicate with the audience and maintaining those relationships. The
author pointed it out that the main reason why social media marketing is so preferred over
traditional marketing is the fact that one is able to notice or observe the effects of communication
/good brand strategy ( by looking at the analytics) whereas in traditional marketing tactics are
generally not assessable. (Michaelidou, Siamagka Christodoulides, 2011) A study has shown that
majority of the users (93%) believes that most brands should have a social media presence while
among them few believe that (83%) companies should always interact with consumers through
social networking sites. Infact nowadays it is not something unusual to see business getting
launched through Facebook / Twitter / Youtube channels and this effort is made by companies to
save relevance among various competitors and reinforce bonds with customers (Mitic Kapoulas,
2012). To add to this some papers have been analyzed in order to get a clear understanding of the
importance of social media in day to day brands. Literature Review Retailers

The Goal Of The Journal
1. The goal of the journal is to explain several concepts, many being misunderstandings, of how dry
ice is formed, and to use experiments to explain the hypotheses. The author provides explanations to
scientific reactions that make fog result from mixing together dry ice and water. Kuntzleman, the
author of A Molecular Explanation of How Fog is Produced When Dry IceIs Placed in Water , also
explains why various ideas about dry iceare false. He demonstrates his ideas using experiments he
says can be performed using primarily cheap, and easy to find material.
The first experiment constructed is set up to effectively measure the density of fog. Because the
experiments all deal with dry ice, it is vital to be able to measure the density of the fog resulting
from a dry ice and liquid combination. Using a 500 mL flask with a round bottom and two
openings is necessary. Approximately 200 mL of liquid is put into the flask. A piece of
approximately 10 grams of dry ice is then placed into one opening on the flask. The other opening
is covered by a plastic cuvette. Through the cuvette the fog s density can be measured using an
LED light and sensor. Fog density is then recorded using the intensity of the light with the formula
for the density of the fog, log(I/I0).
The next performed experiment deals with where the fog originates. The atmospheric water is not
the basis of DIWF (Dry Ice Water Fog). The source of this fog comes from bulk water. To prove this

The Indo Pakistani war of 1947 was the very first war fought between the two counties over
Jammu and Kashmir. The war began when Pakistan sent troops from Waziristan into Kashmir in

Tell Tale Heart Dark Romanticism Essay
An Evolution of Dark Romanticism The Tell Tale Heart
Dark Romanticism illustrates the subgenre of Romanticism and it often explores man s capacity
for malevolence. Edgar Allen Poe is one the writers of Dark Romanticism and in his story, The Tell
Tale heart , he explores humanity s propensity to commit sin. The story is based on the concept of
sin and apathy, as the narrator tries to convince the reader that he is nervous, not mad. Dark
Romanticism consists in showing man s malevolent nature and engages with the concept of man s
darkness. Therefore, in the The Tell Tale Heart, the narrator s evil actions demonstrate the story s
inclusion in the genre specific of Dark Romanticism.

Second Defense Business Analysis
Hello class! This week we are continuing with our discussion of our chosen paper topics. There is
a significant amount of information that needs to be covered this week, so let s get started.
First, let me explain how I envision my company being organized. For those of you that don t

support to local law enforcement agencies that don t have the manning/money/other resources to

the Albuquerque New Mexico area, since it is an area within law enforcement that I am very

applications within Second Defense. Unlike the Administration branch, the Support branch is

The Mission Statement And Core Values
While physical environment is crucial, the facility s origin, mission statement and core values are
equally as important. According to Ms. Andrew, Superior Residence was formed by a man named
Dennis Taylor in 1999. Ironically, Mr. Taylor s mother discovered she had dementia when she left
eggs on the stove and forgot about them eventually burning them. However no assisted living
facility met his standard of care and as a result, he decided to establish a decentralized company
that focuses on superior care and a quality lifestyle for seniors (Andrew, J., personal
communication, October 28th, 2016). The company s mission statement is Building trust so that
residents, families, and our team have peace, and its four core values are integrity, service,
efficiency, and the most important, fun (Superior Residences , 2016). The mission statement
shows was designed to provide comfort to families because although they might not be able to
cure or prevent the progression of their loved one s dementia, they can provide them with peace
and warmth in a comfortable environment. Moreover, in regards to the core values, while the first
three are somewhat basic, the last value, fun provides patients and their families with a sense of
hope. In Jill s words, they have fun morning, afternoon, and night through lots of music and
exercise. A truly heartfelt experience during the tour was when Jill began to sing to a resident,
Joyce, who soon chimed in with her, belting out Well I ve got joy,

Symbols In Waiting For Godot
The characters are symbolic figures who convey Beckett s message and vision. The major
characters are Vladimir and Estragon. They function as the mouthpiece of anger and irritation, and
through them Beckett gets his message across to the audience. They do not know who they are
and where they are. In this respect, the endless country road is symbolic of endless anguish of
modern man. Godot for them means a certain state of certainty. The idea of waiting means a static
and immobile attitude towards life. They do not take any action, so they can never reach certainty.
As long as, they wait doing nothing, they can never achieve this certainty. They are leading a life of
boredom and frustration. They have no past, no present, and are waiting hopelessly... Show more

The play has a tragic depth, though on the surface meaning it is a comedy of two tramps which
makes us laugh. Their language is also absurd in that it is void of meaning to reflect the
psychological destruction of man. Beckett has portrayed his characters as pair of tramps
representing humanity at large, as aimless. However, they are not characters, but the embodiment
of basic human attitudes. As mentioned before, the play starts on a country road, by a tree where
two old tramps are waiting. The tree is used as a stage image. It may stand for hope, death or
passage of time. The road is also a stage image in that it reflects the aimless figures who have no
definite destination. Time is also significant; hence, it is not definite time. It signifies the spiritual

Knee Arthribrosis Case Study
A high school runner is out for a training run through the woods. He steps in a hole
hyperextending and twisting his knee somewhat. In that moment, he felt a sharp pain inside his
knee, nothing excruciating, and it went away as fast at it came. He finished his run and thought
nothing of it. Over the next few weeks he experiences occasional sharp pains in the same spot and
it begins to become a constant pain. He tried icing, elevating and resting it, but to no avail. With
this, our patient decides to come in to I Need a Name Orthopedics. The doctor would gather what
happened, where it happened, how the injuryhad progressed so far, the quality, and severity of the
pain as well as what the patient had done for it so far. After hearing the subjective perspective of
the patient, the doctor begins to suspect a tear in the meniscus.

Role Of Thought Police In George Orwell s 1984
The novel 1984 written by Gorge Orwell is a satire about the socialist dictatorships of Russia and
Germany. 1984 was written as a look into the future if political powers adopted a totalitarian
government. The Government of 1984 is a totalitarian socialist dictatorship. The names of the
government system are INGSOC or The Party. The totalitarian dictatorship, INGSOC, maintains
and abuses power through the Thought Police, newspeak, and technology. The Thought Police are
members of The Party who watched everybody all the time to see if they are acting against The
Party (Orwell 3). Thought crimes include thinking an anti Party thought, writing in a journal, and
physically acting against The Party. Thought Police help INGSOC maintain power because anyone
who goes against The Party, even thinks an anti party thought, will be vaporized or tortured into
supporting the government. INGSOC and the Thought Police encouraged children to turn in their
parents for thought crime. The Thought Police help The Party maintain power by killing or

Syme gives a description of Newspeak, in which he articulates that the words being taken out of
the language are anti Party words. The reduction of anti party words means that The Party is
making thought crime literally impossible (Orwell 52). Newspeak will also limit the range of
thought by changing definitions of words. A definition change makes words only be useable in
certain context and unable to be used to negatively describe The Party. Newspeak s shrinking
vocabulary helps The Party maintain power because anti party words are completely extinguished;
causing people to be unable to start revolts and commit thought

The Effects Of Apocalyptic Discourse On Human Behaviour...
How Environmental Apocalypse is represented in new narratives
In the last decade, mass media have created some fatalist stories about climate change due hot
summers and cold winters that never have been registered before. This strategy has the tendency to
describe the effects of global warming on television, newspapers, cinema, even literature; which can
be associated to an apocalypse discourse. But this apocalypse view embraces the role of awareness
on human behaviour towards the environment. However, this apocalypse discourse sets a problem,
because the excessive use of the media motivates confusion and misunderstandings by the audience.
On the other hand, this apocalypse could be compared as a religious element to create fear beneath
the general public, for the reason that humanity s sins have provoked climate change on Earth.
Because of this, the present paper will assess the relevance of apocalyptic discourse as an ideology
in the media, which is used as a precautionary principle to climate change.
To aim this goal the idea will be discussed as it follows: what is the apocalypse; how this idea has
been represented by contemporary narratives, and what strengths and weakness presents. With this
structure, it is pretended to understand the apocalypse narrative on environmental issues, and if this
narrative helps to motivate to act within the audience . Therefore, it will be helpful to start with
Greg Garrard, who explains that apocalypse provides an emotionally

Music festivals throughout the years have become one the fastest growing phenomenons known to
the young and old. All over the world millions of people gather in one place to enjoy various
artists, foods and good company. What most of the world does not realize is the environmental
shock these extremely popular festivals are putting on our planet. The most notable ideas
concerning waste, traffic and travel, and the status and outcomes of environmental ideas and

Analyzing M. Night Shyamalan s After Earth
Danger is real, but fear is a choice. As intriguing and captivating as this catch phrase sounds, the
film as a whole may not fit that classification. While M. Night Shyamalan s After Earth (2013) is
ineffective in reaching some of its audiences as anticipated, others seem to have enjoyed the movie
thoroughly. The filmopens with a promising story where humans are forced to escape a polluted
Earth inhabited by an alien race that is trained to exterminate them and retreat to Nova Prime, a
new home, to find refuge. General Cypher Rage, played by Will Smith, plays a fearless warrior
who has superior ghosting ability to mask his fear which makes him invulnerable to the aliens. His

A generic plot is a major reason for that. After Earth in the end proves to be a misfire at the box
office because of its dry and predictable story. M. Night Shyamalanis known for having twists in
his stories, but this film does not seem to follow that successful formula, and it eventually costs
him. Throughout the film, only three major things happen: a plane crash, Kitai running to retrieve
the beacon, and a fight that brings the movie to an end. Evidently, it is not possible to say that the
film has no high points, but as soon as it looks like the storyline is progressing, it ended and
moved on to the next scene. There is an instance in the film where Kitai is running from lethal
dogs. When suddenly they fence him from all corners; this build up turns into a that s it moment
when Kitai escapes through a little gap between the trees. Shyamalan seems to find little loopholes
that he can use to save some time instead of thinking of a more innovative way to get through
obstacles. As soon as evening took over Earth, the temperature drops rapidly. Kitai is fast asleep in
the midst of the jungle, not knowing of the danger that surrounds him. Nonetheless, this dangers
does not prove to be a big deal for Shyamalan because in a matter of seconds a gigantic bird appears
and protects Kitai under its wings. When the situation appears most intense, Shyamalan resorts to a
convenient solution to get the characters out of threatening situations. Because of this, the film

Powerlifting Squat
Before you get under the bar, there are a few necessary steps needed to perform a proper
powerlifting squat. Some off these steps aren t full required, but are highly recommended. The
items required for a competition squat are a 100% polyester powerlifting suit, flat bottom tenny
shoes, 100% cotton tighty whities, and long ankle socks. The first step in preparing for a
competition squat is putting on the suit. The US high school powerliftingassociation requires all
lifters of both genders to wear tight and white underwear or go coverless. Most lifters prefer to
go coverless for more comfort. A powerlifting suit should be as tight as possible for maximum
support. Now it s time for socks and shoes. Your socks must be 100% cotton and white or the

The Ethics Of A Pharmaceutical Company
In order to view ethical dilemmas, we have to evaluate descriptive ethics that are present in a
situation. These descriptive ethics lay the foundation, to which, we are able to understand a
circumstance in its entirety. They are the concrete evidence where we can access all ethical
boundaries and establish what is considered morally inhabitable. What causes us to question
morality, the principles that help us determine right from wrong and good or bad (Beauchamp
2), is that the livelihood of a person or a group of people are at stake. In the medical field,
morality is questioned with every decision that is made. Everyone hopes for the best outcome.
With this outcome, individual roles can be questioned. Who made the right decision, was it just
and how does it affect the people around me or even them. Martin Shkreli is the CEO of a

American transportation Infrastructure has taken a toll over the past decade. This is due to the

The infrastructure area in this great nation is deprecating when compared to the rest of the

Oedipus (Aristotle 1961, p. 1453a). Aristotle s definition of a tragic hero comprises the character
Oedipus. Oedipus displays several qualities as a tragic hero to included the cause of his

the Sphinx and solve the riddle. This story of the Sphinx adds to his respect and sets up an

Oedipus has a treacherous ethical wrongdoing. He is in an incest relationship with his mother,

trying to push his Harley up the hill. Madison runs home, and their parents come and takes Parker

what happened, but Parker goes to say, I m not sure I can marry that gal after this!
Now thinking back on this story, I couldn t do anything except laugh! This story definitely put a

Muslims believe the prophets of God are His messengers to human kind, they include; Adam,
Noah, Joseph, Luke, Moses, Abraham, Jesus and Muhammad. Salman noted in our discussion
that Noah should be an example to us all because he preached for 950 years and was listened to by
less than a dozen people. All others mocked him so he was very courageous in his obedience and
faith. The Kaaba is the most sacred place in Islam. The Kaaba is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It
is where millions of people make a pilgrimage. Salman said during his pilgrimage to Mecca there
were over 3 million people who answered the call of prayer and in a matter of minutes were lined
up side by side, shoulders touching so that Satan could not squeeze in.... Show more content on

The Muezzin is anyone who makes the call to prayer in the mosque. In large Mosque this person
may be called the servant of the mosque. In small mosque the imam would also perform the call
to prayer. Mujtahid is the interpreter of the Quran and the Hadith. They were also Muftis who
used interpretation to clarify Islamic law but in many countries Islamic law is not the law of the
land. In countries where the Law of Islam is not the law of the land a Muslim professor may
serve as adviser to the local Muslim community on religious matters. Shia Muslims also have
leaders called Ayatollah and Grand Ayatollah. Muslims prayer five times daily, all at the same
time every day. The times are determined by the position of the sun in the sky which varies
depending on geographic location. There are seven postures, one that we often see is with
forehead, nose, hands and knees all touching the ground at the same time. Most of what I have
seen and read on Muslim prayer indicated they pray toward Mecca but in the Sunni Mosque in
Murfreesboro I thought I saw them turn 3 different directions as I watched them pray. The most
basic and essential prayer is the shahada. It goes: La ilaha ill Allah; wa Mohammed rasul Allah
There is no god but God; and Mohammed is the Prophet. These are the first words that are
whispered into Muslim baby and the last words a person hears when he or she is on their
deathbed. The four sects of Islam are Ahmadiyya, Shi s, Sufism and

Essay On Paul Revere s Ride
Paul RevereВґs Ride The poem of Paul Revere gives false information about Paul Revere and his
ride. They got a lot of information wrong like they did not mention the other two guys. Which
there were two other guys that had to do with it also. The poem mentioned that there were
lanterns that show the path of the troops. But the lanterns did not represent the path of the troops
it actually represented that paul revere was on his way to warn the people about the british
troops. The poem does not tell how the ride ends. But the truth tells how it ends and what Paul
Revere stood for. Paul Revere stood for the end of slaves and he was a big part of the civil war
because he was doing something dangerous because he wanted to end slavery.Paul Revere and
his ride was a propaganda about slaves. The poem gives false information about the lanterns and
what they were used for in the poem. The article tells the correct reason for the purpose of the
lanterns and the real reason was for to let the people know if Paul Revere was captured by the
british troops. The poem that told the false information about the purpose of the lanterns. The
purpose of the lanterns in the poem is to tell Paul Revere what route the british troops were taking.
The correct information from the article was that the lanterns were used... Show more content on

Literature review of Hagia Sophia Architecture According to Oto et al., Hagia Sophia is one the
greatest buildings and famous one in the world. Hagia Sophia is a building that is situated in
Istanbul Turkey. More so, it is in Sultanahmet area that is near Topkapi place in Istanbul. In
addition, from the hotels in Sultanahmet to Hagia Sophia is a walking distance. Furthermore, this
building was chosen by the UNESCO as the heritage site in 1985 (Cappa et al.). In addition, it is
amongst the buildings that stands today because of architectural intelligence that was applied by
the architects. This building is known to be famous because of the dome which makes it. The
dome sat at the center of the church. In addition, the dome was being made up of the mortar and
bricks. This building was built or constructed within an incredibly short time. It was built between
the 532 and 537 amid the ruling of the Byzantine emperor Justinian. The architects of this building
were scientists and mathematicians who were skilled both in engineering and geometry. In
addition, all the talents of these architects were required for an execution of unprecedented design
of a monumental church. In addition, here are the two talented architects, namely: Isidore of
Miletus and Anthemius of Tralles. For this building to be completed within 5 years, 1000 master
worker and 10,000 unskilled workers worked day and night (Oto et al.). Additionally, the Hagia

Comparing Kate Chopin’s The Storm and T. Coraghessan...
Comparing Kate Chopin s The Storm and T. Coraghessan Boyle s Greasy Lake
Kate Chopin and T. Coraghessan Boyle made excellent use of the elements point of view, character,
and setting in their short stories The Storm and Greasy Lake . Kate Chopin s characters and events
follow the setting the storm. This greatly enhances her work. Boyle s characters mirror his setting
as well a greasy lake. It is amazing how much greater depth and deeper the insight is for a story
when the potentials of elements of writing are fulfilled and utilized.
Chopin s The Storm is written in third person objective point of view. The narrator is not involved
with the characters in any way, just telling the story as it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main character of Boyle s story is the nameless narrator. He is more round than flat, mainly
because of the point of view of first person. The reader must of course get closer to the main
character because they become them when they read the story. The reader sees inside the narrator
and through his eyes out at the world around him because of his thoughts and actions. Boyle
develops his main character through the point of view taken they cannot be separated.
We wore torn up leather jackets, slouched around with toothpicks in our mouths, sniffed glue and
ether and what somebody claimed was cocaine. When we wheeled our parents whining station
wagons out onto the street we left a patch of rubber half a block long. We drank gin and grape
juice, Tango, Thunderbird, and Bali Hai. We were nineteen. We were bad. We read Andre Gide
and struck elaborate poses to show that we didn t give a shit about anything. (Boyle 129)
This self description of the narrator says it all. He gives a brutal, yet inflated description of himself
and his friends that gives the reader a very round main character.
The setting in both of these short stories is the essence of their themes. The authors have drawn
characters that parallel their settings. From this, the reader can draw many conclusions and insights
about the themes of the stories. The Storm occurs in Louisiana

Sonnet 43
Sonnet 43 (Sonnets From the Portuguese) BY Elizabeth Barrett Browning How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when
feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of every day s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle light. I love thee freely, as men strive for right; I love thee
purely, as they turn from praise, I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with
my childhood s faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints I love thee with
the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death.

In lines where she s comparing her love to the most domestic or common events of day to day
living, as in the first line of the second stanza, the rhythm matches this plain or common mood,
only slightly deviating from strict meter, I LOVE thee TO the LEVel of EVery DAY s... On the
other hand, as she moves on in the poem, and her voice gets more and more passionate as she
continues to develop her list of ways she loves her husband, she builds each line s rhythm to
match this mood. By the time we reach the final stanza, her lines find a rhythm of their own,
almost completely ignoring traditional form WITH my LOST SAINTS I LOVE THEE with the
BREATH,/SMILES, TEARS of ALL my LIFE! Another set structure for sonnets is how each line
ends. Traditionally, each line ends with punctuation, a period, comma or otherwise to create a
pause and contain a complete thought. Lines which end this way are called end stopped. Reading
through Sonnet 43 , we notice that five of the 14 lines do not end with a set pause; rather, they are
enjambed. Enjambed means to carry over; this term describes how one line flows into the next
without hesitation. To try to understand what Barrett Browning s intentions might be for this move
away from traditional form, it is useful again to notice what the mood of the poem is where she
breaks the rules. In the first stanza, as she begins to count the ways, the ways she

Current State of the Union; Analysis of a Political...
When describing the current state of the USA, very little positive language would be used. The
more standard response would be one including an overall negative, and debt describing
language. As seen in Barrack Obama s 2014 State of the Union Address, the president of our
nation seemed to completely disregard the actual state of the union by simply stating that, The
state of the union is sound . This short, vague, and contradicting statement seemed to be blow up
the anemic progressions our nation has made during Obamas presidency. It is safe to say that the
description of a sound nation did not make a connection with many Americans. It left people with
more of a sense of confusion to what the actual situation stands to be. That situation, the current
state of our union, would more appropriately be described as upsetting. Especially when being
described by the current president of over five years who promised to better our nation. Gary
McCoy s drawing depicts the not so serious response to Barack Obamas humorous statement to the
current state of the union, and poses the argument that his remarks no longer send a sense of
promise and hope, but more of something to just roll your eyes at. In the cartoon, President
Barack Obama is presented in a stereotypical and degrading way. He is drawn to have a very
prominent round nose, and much emphasis is placed on his very large ears . With this, he is also
depicted with a tiny head, potentially hinting at a small brain. In

Essay On Lipid Based Carry System
As of late, a lot of intrigue has been focussed on lipid based carries systems. The most prevalent
approach is the fuse of the active poorly water dissolvable part into inert lipid vehicles, for example,
oils, surfactant dispersions, solid dispersions, solid lipid nanoparticles, emulsions, micro emulsions,
Nano emulsions, self emulsifying plans (SEF), micro/nanoemulsifying formulations, and liposomes.
The essential component of activity by which a lipid formulation prompts enhanced
bioavailability is typically avoidance of a slow dissolution process which constrains the
bioavailability of hydrophobic drugs from solid dose frames (Shweta Gupta, 2013). Ideally the
plan enables the drug to stay in a dissolved state all through its travel in ... Show more content on

Regardless of the extensive potential that these lipid excipients offer, not very many lipids based
Formulations have achieved the pharmaceutical commercial place. This might be because of the
inadequate data with respect to the generally complex physical science of lipids and worries
about figured drugs substance and physical stability. In addition to these concerns, the interaction
of a lipid based formulation with the GI condition and its effect on drug absorption is also
important. For example, edible lipids have been appeared to be extensively more productive
enhancers of poorly soluble drug ingestion, as compared to nondigestible lipids (e.g., liquid
paraffin). Unsaturated fat chain length of the lipid likewise impacts drug absorption. Both long and
medium chain triglyceride oils with various degrees of saturation have been utilized for the design
of self emulsifying formulations.
2.Surfactants: The self emulsifying properties require the incorporation of moderately a lot of
surfactant in the formulation notwithstanding the oily drug carrier vehicle. The surfactants may
improve the affinity between lipids and intestinal membrane or increase the permeability of the
intestinal membrane (Gershanik T, 2000). Surfactants increment the

  • 4. The Impossibility Of Imprisoning The Mind To Althea, from Prison : Richard Lovelace (Close read) Lovelace s poem To Althea, from Prison expresses two concepts: the impossibility of imprisoning the mind and therefore the impossibility of repressing one s belief in a cause, or in this case, a person. The initial lack of explicitness of the meaning of the poem is exemplified by the mysteriousness of the woman, Althea, who is rather unspecific in description, and ethereal, described as divine. Whether or not the woman was real, or herself imaginary is unimportant to the poem, which is all about the lack of division between true reality and reality of the mind. The juxtaposition between the body and the mind reflects the same conflict within Lovelace himself, and in fact all Cavalier poets: the altogether real matters of war and politics and the expression of poetry and imagination. It is interesting that while the speaker is writing of freedom and the indomitability of the mind, he describes himself as being tangled to Althea s hair and fetter d to her eye. This is language undoubtedly of constraint, and seems to work in contention with the what in fact the speaker is expressing; in fact, Lovelace is trying to express that even behind bars, and tangled and fetter d in his own mind s eye, he is still freer than the birds he evokes. This nature imagery appears in the first three stanzas of the poem, as does the ending line of know no such liberty, this repetition of imagery, as well as the repetition of ... She is the wife of a New Orleans businessman. She is not content with her marriage and the lifestyle that she must conform to. She changes from her role as a devoted wife and mother to a woman who becomes engrossed in discovering her own identity. She then goes through a series of experiences to satisfy herself mentally, emotionally, and sexually. She changes from the woman of those times, who always stuck to conformity, to someone who worries and is only responsible for herself. It is Mademoiselle who influences her to become awakened in such a way. However this very awakening will be her downfall. She will then begin to isolate herself from those around her and eventually choose suicide as an escape. A main factor towards the development of Ednawould be Mademoiselle Reiz. Her influence plays a vital role towards her awakening and change to her life style. From the moment she heard Reiz play she had begun to be influenced. The very first chords Mademoiselle Reisz struck on the piano sent a keen tremor down Mrs. Pontellier s spinal column. It was not the first time she had heard an artist at the piano. Perhaps it was the first time she was ready, perhaps the first time her being was tempered to take an impress of the abiding truth. (Chopin 29) . It can be said that the change in Edna was sparked by this very moment. From here on Edna ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The author provides explanations to scientific reactions that make fog result from mixing together dry ice and water. Kuntzleman, the author of A Molecular Explanation of How Fog is Produced When Dry IceIs Placed in Water , also explains why various ideas about dry iceare false. He demonstrates his ideas using experiments he says can be performed using primarily cheap, and easy to find material. The first experiment constructed is set up to effectively measure the density of fog. Because the experiments all deal with dry ice, it is vital to be able to measure the density of the fog resulting from a dry ice and liquid combination. Using a 500 mL flask with a round bottom and two openings is necessary. Approximately 200 mL of liquid is put into the flask. A piece of approximately 10 grams of dry ice is then placed into one opening on the flask. The other opening is covered by a plastic cuvette. Through the cuvette the fog s density can be measured using an LED light and sensor. Fog density is then recorded using the intensity of the light with the formula for the density of the fog, log(I/I0). The next performed experiment deals with where the fog originates. The atmospheric water is not the basis of DIWF (Dry Ice Water Fog). The source of this fog comes from bulk water. To prove this using a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As mentioned before, the play starts on a country road, by a tree where two old tramps are waiting. The tree is used as a stage image. It may stand for hope, death or passage of time. Role Of Thought Police In George Orwell s 1984 The novel 1984 written by Gorge Orwell is a satire about the socialist dictatorships of Russia and Germany. 1984 was written as a look into the future if political powers adopted a totalitarian government. The Government of 1984 is a totalitarian socialist dictatorship. The names of the government system are INGSOC or The Party. The totalitarian dictatorship, INGSOC, maintains and abuses power through the Thought Police, newspeak, and technology. The Thought Police are members of The Party who watched everybody all the time to see if they are acting against The Party (Orwell 3). Thought crimes include thinking an anti Party thought, writing in a journal, and physically acting against The Party. Thought Police help INGSOC maintain power because anyone who goes against The Party, even thinks an anti party thought, will be vaporized or tortured into supporting the government. • 25. The Effects Of Apocalyptic Discourse On Human Behaviour... How Environmental Apocalypse is represented in new narratives In the last decade, mass media have created some fatalist stories about climate change due hot summers and cold winters that never have been registered before. This strategy has the tendency to describe the effects of global warming on television, newspapers, cinema, even literature; which can be associated to an apocalypse discourse. But this apocalypse view embraces the role of awareness on human behaviour towards the environment. However, this apocalypse discourse sets a problem, because the excessive use of the media motivates confusion and misunderstandings by the audience. On the other hand, this apocalypse could be compared as a religious element to create fear beneath the general public, for the reason that humanity s sins have provoked climate change on Earth. Because of this, the present paper will assess the relevance of apocalyptic discourse as an ideology in the media, which is used as a precautionary principle to climate change. To aim this goal the idea will be discussed as it follows: what is the apocalypse; how this idea has been represented by contemporary narratives, and what strengths and weakness presents. With this structure, it is pretended to understand the apocalypse narrative on environmental issues, and if this narrative helps to motivate to act within the audience . Therefore, it will be helpful to start with Greg Garrard, who explains that apocalypse provides an emotionally ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As intriguing and captivating as this catch phrase sounds, the film as a whole may not fit that classification. While M. After Earth in the end proves to be a misfire at the box office because of its dry and predictable story. M. Throughout the film, only three major things happen: a plane crash, Kitai running to retrieve the beacon, and a fight that brings the movie to an end. Evidently, it is not possible to say that the film has no high points, but as soon as it looks like the storyline is progressing, it ended and moved on to the next scene. There is an instance in the film where Kitai is running from lethal dogs. When suddenly they fence him from all corners; this build up turns into a that s it moment when Kitai escapes through a little gap between the trees. As soon as evening took over Earth, the temperature drops rapidly. Kitai is fast asleep in the midst of the jungle, not knowing of the danger that surrounds him. Nonetheless, this dangers does not prove to be a big deal for Shyamalan because in a matter of seconds a gigantic bird appears and protects Kitai under its wings. This building was built or constructed within an incredibly short time. It was built between the 532 and 537 amid the ruling of the Byzantine emperor Justinian. The architects of this building were scientists and mathematicians who were skilled both in engineering and geometry. In addition, all the talents of these architects were required for an execution of unprecedented design of a monumental church. In addition, here are the two talented architects, namely: Isidore of Miletus and Anthemius of Tralles. • 44. Comparing Kate Chopin’s The Storm and T. Coraghessan... Comparing Kate Chopin s The Storm and T. Coraghessan Boyle s Greasy Lake Kate Chopin and T. Coraghessan Boyle made excellent use of the elements point of view, character, and setting in their short stories The Storm and Greasy Lake . Kate Chopin s characters and events follow the setting the storm. This greatly enhances her work. Boyle s characters mirror his setting as well a greasy lake. It is amazing how much greater depth and deeper the insight is for a story when the potentials of elements of writing are fulfilled and utilized. Chopin s The Storm is written in third person objective point of view. The narrator is not involved with the characters in any way, just telling the story as it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main character of Boyle s story is the nameless narrator. He is more round than flat, mainly because of the point of view of first person. The reader must of course get closer to the main character because they become them when they read the story. The reader sees inside the narrator and through his eyes out at the world around him because of his thoughts and actions. Boyle develops his main character through the point of view taken they cannot be separated. We wore torn up leather jackets, slouched around with toothpicks in our mouths, sniffed glue and ether and what somebody claimed was cocaine. When we wheeled our parents whining station wagons out onto the street we left a patch of rubber half a block long. We drank gin and grape juice, Tango, Thunderbird, and Bali Hai. We were nineteen. We were bad. We read Andre Gide and struck elaborate poses to show that we didn t give a shit about anything. (Boyle 129) This self description of the narrator says it all. He gives a brutal, yet inflated description of himself and his friends that gives the reader a very round main character. The setting in both of these short stories is the essence of their themes. The authors have drawn characters that parallel their settings. From this, the reader can draw many conclusions and insights about the themes of the stories. The Storm occurs in Louisiana ... • 45. Sonnet 43 Sonnet 43 (Sonnets From the Portuguese) BY Elizabeth Barrett Browning How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of every day s Most quiet need, by sun and candle light. I love thee freely, as men strive for right; I love thee purely, as they turn from praise, I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood s faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death. Criticism Brent Goodman is a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the other hand, as she moves on in the poem, and her voice gets more and more passionate as she continues to develop her list of ways she loves her husband, she builds each line s rhythm to match this mood. By the time we reach the final stanza, her lines find a rhythm of their own, almost completely ignoring traditional form WITH my LOST SAINTS I LOVE THEE with the BREATH,/SMILES, TEARS of ALL my LIFE! Another set structure for sonnets is how each line ends. Traditionally, each line ends with punctuation, a period, comma or otherwise to create a pause and contain a complete thought. Lines which end this way are called end stopped. Reading through Sonnet 43 , we notice that five of the 14 lines do not end with a set pause; rather, they are enjambed. Enjambed means to carry over; this term describes how one line flows into the next without hesitation. To try to understand what Barrett Browning s intentions might be for this move away from traditional form, it is useful again to notice what the mood of the poem is where she breaks the rules. In the first stanza, as she begins to count the ways, the ways she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Current State of the Union; Analysis of a Political... When describing the current state of the USA, very little positive language would be used. The more standard response would be one including an overall negative, and debt describing language. As seen in Barrack Obama s 2014 State of the Union Address, the president of our nation seemed to completely disregard the actual state of the union by simply stating that, The state of the union is sound . This short, vague, and contradicting statement seemed to be blow up the anemic progressions our nation has made during Obamas presidency. It is safe to say that the description of a sound nation did not make a connection with many Americans. It left people with more of a sense of confusion to what the actual situation stands to be. That situation, the current state of our union, would more appropriately be described as upsetting. Especially when being described by the current president of over five years who promised to better our nation. Gary McCoy s drawing depicts the not so serious response to Barack Obamas humorous statement to the current state of the union, and poses the argument that his remarks no longer send a sense of promise and hope, but more of something to just roll your eyes at. In the cartoon, President Barack Obama is presented in a stereotypical and degrading way. He is drawn to have a very prominent round nose, and much emphasis is placed on his very large ears . With this, he is also depicted with a tiny head, potentially hinting at a small brain. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 48. Essay On Lipid Based Carry System As of late, a lot of intrigue has been focussed on lipid based carries systems. The most prevalent approach is the fuse of the active poorly water dissolvable part into inert lipid vehicles, for example, oils, surfactant dispersions, solid dispersions, solid lipid nanoparticles, emulsions, micro emulsions, Nano emulsions, self emulsifying plans (SEF), micro/nanoemulsifying formulations, and liposomes. The essential component of activity by which a lipid formulation prompts enhanced bioavailability is typically avoidance of a slow dissolution process which constrains the bioavailability of hydrophobic drugs from solid dose frames (Shweta Gupta, 2013). Ideally the plan enables the drug to stay in a dissolved state all through its travel in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Regardless of the extensive potential that these lipid excipients offer, not very many lipids based Formulations have achieved the pharmaceutical commercial place. This might be because of the inadequate data with respect to the generally complex physical science of lipids and worries about figured drugs substance and physical stability. In addition to these concerns, the interaction of a lipid based formulation with the GI condition and its effect on drug absorption is also important. For example, edible lipids have been appeared to be extensively more productive enhancers of poorly soluble drug ingestion, as compared to nondigestible lipids (e.g., liquid paraffin). Unsaturated fat chain length of the lipid likewise impacts drug absorption. Both long and medium chain triglyceride oils with various degrees of saturation have been utilized for the design of self emulsifying formulations. 2.Surfactants: The self emulsifying properties require the incorporation of moderately a lot of surfactant in the formulation notwithstanding the oily drug carrier vehicle. The surfactants may improve the affinity between lipids and intestinal membrane or increase the permeability of the intestinal membrane (Gershanik T, 2000). Surfactants increment the ...
