Technological advancements have greatly changed printing and printmaking in the Philippines. Printing has evolved from simple woodcut and lithography techniques during Spanish colonization to the widespread use of digital technologies and new media today. Modern printers, computers, scanners and other devices now allow easy and mass production of printed materials. Students are encouraged to utilize new media and technology to create art and express their artistic skills. The module teaches about different printing processes and technologies available locally. It provides activities for students to apply their knowledge in printmaking projects using new media.
