• …. There’re a lot of places of interest and architectural
monuments in Great Britain. All of them have a world-wide
fame. London is the capital of Great Britain, and it’s one of
the oldest cities. London is famous for its architecture. I
have never been to London, but I have read many
interesting facts about Great Britain and its capital. There’re
a lot of places of interest London such as : Saint Paul’s
Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, and
many others.
• All these landmarks are worth seeing
• I’ve chosen the Tower of London and I’d like to tell you
about it, because it’s has a world – wide fame. Millions of
tourists all over the world visit the Tower of London
because it’s a symbol of Great Britain.

7. The 1st and the 2nd World War
During the 1stWorld War one bomb landed in the moat. In the

the bombs. It was almost destroyed. After the war the damage
was repaired and the Tower of London was re opened to the
public.
In 1988 the Tower of London was edit to the UNESCO list of Word
Heritage Sites.

• The Tower of London has become one of the
most popular tourist attractions in the
country. It has been a tourist attraction since
the Elizabethan period . No doubt it’s one of
the most famous sights of London. By the end
of the century , over 500000 people were
visiting castle every year. According to
information over 2.4 million people visit the
Tower of London in the year to March 2011.
