2. Big Ben The Clock Tower in London. It is the largest and tallest 4 faced clock tower in the world. Every hour you can hear its six bells ring. On New Years Eve I watched London count down to midnight by Big Ben and hear the clock tower ring.

3. Tower Bridge A Victorian Gothic style bridge over River Thames It is bascule and suspension bridge combined and was first designed and built around 1876.

4. Houses of Parliament (Palace of Westminster) Built in 1265 it was and still is a meeting place for the House of Commons and the House of Lords. This is a very grand and majestic sight to see across the water.

5. The London Eye The world’s largest observation wheel at 135 meters high, it offers a fantastic view of London. You can see it from almost everywhere in London!

6. Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace is the Queen's official London residence and has 775 rooms. This is where you often see the famous guards who don’t flinch.

7. Tower Of London Initiated by William the Conqueror and constructed in 1070 to celebrate his victory at Hastings. The tower of London has become London’s symbol.

8. Windsor Castle Was a castle also built by William the Conquerer in the 10 th century to protect London from its enemies. It was rebuilt by Henry II in 1170. This castle is amazing because it looks like the ones you see in storybooks.

9. Westminster Abbey The Burial Place of English Kings and Queens and where many Coronations take place. It was constructed in 1503.

10. Trafalgar Square The largest square in London and it is 200 years old. It was built for the victory in Trafalgar Battle and is the setting for most celebrations. This is a great place to get away from the crowded streets of London and go for a walk.

11. Stonehenge A mysterious giant stone alignment that works as a calendar. Scientists believe it was constructed in 3000 B.C. This is the second time I have visited this amazing formation. On the summer solstice in June the sun lines up perfectly with the stones and it looks really cool.
