4. •Early Pregnancy refers to female adolescents becoming
pregnant between the ages of 13-19. These young females
have not yet reached adulthood and the causes of early
pregnancy vary greatly.
•It is a significant public health concern and social issue
worldwide.
•Teenage pregnancy can have negative consequences for both
the mother and child, including increased risk of maternal
and infant mortality, low birth weight, developmental delays,
and poverty.
