The Anglophone East School District will be hosting the Atlantic Education Summit over 3 days from July 4-6. The summit will bring together over 300 teachers, administrators, staff, parents, businesses and more for 50 sessions on topics like literacy, STEAM, coding and technology. New developments include a panel discussion with education and business leaders and a STEAM exploration center with hands-on activities using robots, science probes and more. The summit aims to provide transformational learning opportunities through insightful presentations and discussions.

In ​3 ​weeks on July 4 to 6​, Anglophone East School District will be hosting the
Atlantic Education Summit​. This summit is for teachers, school administrators,
district staff, colleges staff,​ ​department of education employees as well as
parents and local businesses.
Dr. Christian Penny​ from the West Chester University and ​Simon Audet
founder of ​Mirego​, a ground breaking software company, will be the keynotes.
This is a great professional learning opportunity where 25 excellent speakers
from across Canada will provide over 50 sessions in the area​s​ of Literacy,
Numeracy, Science, Coding, STEAM, Assistive Technology, and more. There

1. Panel discussion:​ We will close the summit with a panel discussion
involving business and educational leaders from the community. ​Gregg
Ingersoll​, Superintendent of Anglophone East School District, ​Jeff Dewolf​ from
South Shore School District, ​Dale Richie​ owner of Mckenzie College, Martin
Davis VP of Information Technology at JD Irving ltd. accompanied by our two
main keynote ​Simon Audet​ and ​Dr. Christian Penny​.

2. 2. STEAM Exploration Centre:​ We will have an excellent playground where
participants will have an opportunity to a hands on learning experience using
Sphero and Ollie robots, MakeyMakeys, Pasco/AYVA probes, drones and
much more. Participants will also be exposed to a unique learning experience
discovering the astronomy dome. Be sure to visit the centre!
Throughout the three­day summit, all participants will have the opportunity to
enjoy insightful keynote presentations, and engage in stimulating discussions
and innovative sessions using technology. This summit promises to be our best
gathering yet, and we look forward to helping you create your own educational
story through our transformational learning opportunity.
