and carpal tunnel syndrome. Eye strain can be
caused by prolonged exposure to computer
screens, which can lead to dry eyes, headaches,
and blurred vision. Back pain can result from
sitting in the same position for long periods of
time, while carpal tunnel syndrome is a
repetitive strain injury that affects the wrist
and hand.
•Psychological Effects : The use of computers
can also have negative psychological effects,
such as stress, anxiety, and addiction. Stress
can result from the pressure to keep up with the
fast pace of technology and the demands of work
and personal life. Anxiety can be caused by the
constant barrage of information and the
pressure to be connected at all times. Addiction
to technology is also a growing concern, as
people become dependent on their computers
and the internet for entertainment, social
interaction, and work.

• Computer technology has also had a
negative impact on social relationships,
leading to isolation and a lack of face-to-
face communication. People are
spending more time in front of their
computers and less time interacting
with others in person, which can lead to
feelings of loneliness and
disconnectedness.

• Computer technology has also had a
number of environmental effects,
including electronic waste and energy
consumption. Electronic waste, or e-
waste, refers to discarded electronic
devices that are harmful to the
environment and human health. Energy
consumption is also a concern, as

other environmental problems.

computers for this reason, which develop a computer
addiction. This may cause a person to become addicted to
online activities like reading articles and researching for fun,
playing online games, visiting chat rooms, gambling or even
pornography or cybersecurity. This is the to lie about their
online habits and activities, family and events and academic
failure. Strong addiction may require sufferers to seek
professional therapy.
• Negative Effects of Computers on our Personal Life
•Spend more time on the computer than with your family
•Addiction-less interaction with people
•Faster communication May not be better communication
•Identity theft
• Loss of the Manual Skills : The widespread
integration of computers in various industries has
brought about a negative consequence in the form of
a loss of manual skills. As automation and digital
technologies take over routine tasks, there is a
diminishing emphasis on the cultivation and
preservation of hands-on expertise. Jobs that once
required intricate manual dexterity and
craftsmanship are increasingly automated, leading to
a decline in the development of tactile skills. This has
repercussions for professions and industries that
traditionally relied on manual labor, impacting not
only the quality of craftsmanship but also the
transfer of specialized knowledge from experienced
practitioners to the next generation. The shift
towards automation, while increasing efficiency in
many aspects, raises concerns about the potential
erosion of essential manual skills and the cultural
heritage associated with certain crafts and trades.

brought about both positive and negative impacts on our
society. On the positive side, they have revolutionized various
