Group members Waseem Abbas, M.Abbas Khan, and Usman Khan are working on an electronics final project to build a DC power supply. The project involves designing a bridge rectifier circuit to convert AC input to DC output and using an electrolytic capacitor to remove ripples from the DC output by filtering any remaining AC voltage. The power supply will deliver a precise voltage to another device according to its needs.

Both of these power components need to be produced and transmitted from the generator to the service customer. Real power flows from the generator to the load, and is used to drive loads such as electrical motors, create the heating effect in heaters, and the heating/lighting effect in lamps. Losses and associated voltage drops in the network are effected by the vector sum of real power and reactive power. Reactive power provided from a generation or capacitor source to the load is the component necessary for the operation of magnetizing currents in motors, transformers and solenoids which are part of a customer service load.
A capacitor bank is a grouping of several identical capacitors interconnected in parallel or in series with one another. These groups of capacitors are typically used to correct or counteract undesirable characteristics, such as power factor lag or phase shifts inherent in alternating current (AC) electrical power supplies. Shunt capacitor banks are used to an increasing extent at all voltage levels. There are a variety of reasons for this like the growing need for power transfer on existing lines while avoiding transfer of reactive power, better use of existing power systems, improving voltage stability, right-of-way and cost problems, voltage control and compensation of reactive loads. Three-phase capacitor bank sizes vary from a few tenths of MVAr to several hundreds of MVAr. Here we are using 25MVAR capacitor bank for this purpose.
Here, we have simulated an automatic scheme for switching of capacitor bank based on mvar requirement of the system. They automatically sense the voltage and reactive power using transducers. Output from these transducers are given to sensing circuit where it is compare with normal parameters (voltage and reactive power) of the system. If the condition satisfies it automatically switch on capacitor bank. And this normalises the system parameters.

SMPS (switching mode power supply) converts unregulated AC or DC input to regulated DC output. It first rectifies and filters the input using a capacitor, then feeds the unregulated DC to a high frequency DC-DC converter using a transformer. SMPS are more efficient than linear power supplies due to using switching components instead of dissipative components. Common SMPS topologies include flyback, forward, half-bridge, and full-bridge converters, with flyback being commonly used for power levels below 100W. SMPS provide benefits like multiple isolated outputs, high efficiency, small size, and low cost.

AC/DC/AC Converter Fed RLC Series
An all-electric driveline based on a double wound flywheel, connected in series between main energy storage and a wheel motor, is presented. The flywheel works as a power buffer, allowing the battery to deliver optimized power. It also separates electrically the system in two sides, with the battery connected to the low voltage side and the wheel motor connected to the high voltage side. This paper presents the implementation and control of the AC/DC/AC converter, used to connect the flywheel high voltage windings to the wheel motor. The converter general operation and the adopted control strategy are discussed. The implementation of the AC/DC/AC converter has been described from a practical perspective. Results from experimental tests performed in the full-system prototype are presented. The prototype system is running with satisfactory stability during acceleration mode. This document presents a novel high step-up DC-DC converter that uses an active coupled-inductor network for sustainable energy systems. The proposed converter contains two coupled inductors integrated into one magnetic core and two switches. The primary sides of the coupled inductors are charged in parallel from the input source and then discharged in series to achieve a high step-up voltage gain. Additionally, a passive lossless clamped circuit recycles leakage energies from the coupled inductor to improve efficiency and limits voltage spikes on the main switches. This converter also alleviates the reverse-recovery problem of the output diode through the use of a leakage inductor. An experimental 200W prototype demonstrated results that agreed with the theoretical analysis.

5. a new multi level inverter topology of pv systems for grid interconnection
Renewable energy sources (RES) gain an importance in recent decades because they are pollution free, easily erectable, and limitless. Among RES, Photovoltaic systems are mostly used as they are light, clean and easily installable. Normally PV cells converts sunlight into electricity in the form of dc. A suitable converter is usually needed to convert the dc power into ac power, which is then injecting into the power grid. The Multilevel Inverters [MLI] can be used to convert the dc into ac for integration of renewable energy sources into the conventional grids. But the conventional MLIs such as Diode Clamped MLIs requires extra diodes in conjunction with the active switches, Flying capacitor MLIs requires extra Capacitors and control also difficult if the levels increases and the Cascaded H-bridge MLIs requires separate dc sources which limits its use. This paper proposes a new type of multi level Inverter which converts the dc into ac using less number of switches when compared to conventional multilevel Inverters. The proposed Inverter can be used to integrate the Photovoltaic system into Grid, with satisfying the grid requirements such as phase angle, frequency and amplitude of the Grid voltage. Seven level and thirteen level proposed MLI is simulated using Matlab/Simulink environment and the corresponding results are presented in this paper.

Operation of brushless dc motor drive with zeta
