LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UP
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the

Scream 4
- 1. Analysis of Scream 4 Rubi Ali
- 2. Shot Types The opening of Scream 4 consisted of various shot types such as mid shots with the a rule of third framing which allows audience to see more of setting and mise en scene of the house. There is a close up of a phone ringing which can be tense for audience and creates mystery. The characters are mostly filmed in mid shots and close ups together which shows they are close to each other. Over the shoulder shots are used in the conversation between the two characters which allows audience to feel more involved with them. Most objects are filmed in close ups such as the mobile phone and telephone and there is a shot where a close up of both characters is used to show their feelings and facial expressions. An establishing shot is used later on in the opening when the girl opens the door, this also creates a long shot of the character.
- 3. Iconography There is icongraphy of knifes and masks been used in the opening sequence already. This is conventional for horror movies and effective as it gives genre signifiers immediately. It connotes there will be a lot of violence and daunting scenes. Sound Unlike most opening sequences, Scream 4 did not have any music instead had diagetic voices of the characters conversating. There are sound bridges where the phone is ringing but is not shown until after. Overall, there is more diagetic sound in the opening than non diagetic.
- 4. Setting As many horror movies, the setting of the opening sequence is in a big house which trees around it. This is conventional as horror movies usually have establishing shots showing the front of the house to be standing alone surrounded with trees to give it a creepy feel. The location in the house which filming took place in was mostly the kitchen and living room which showed audience more about the characters such as they are neat and tidy because their house looked organised and clean. Representation The representation of the characters was effective and significant creating a stereotype of women. The two young adults seemed to be in their early 20s who lived together in a house. One of the women was sterotyped to be attractive and socially active and speaking to male admirers on networking sites. This female also was shown to be afraid and weak as most women are stereotyped to be in society. However, the second character was also a female who was opposite to her friend, acting more brave and chilled about the situation. This represents some young adults to be shown are strong and fearless.
