Mobile banking can be done through SMS, USSD codes like *99#, or mobile applications. Services include account information access, funds transfer, bill payments, and more. IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) enables real-time interbank fund transfers on mobile and other channels. It aims to facilitate electronic retail payments in India. Risks involve threats from malware, and banks employ various measures to manage risks in mobile banking.
Atm
Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) allow users to access their bank accounts and perform financial transactions using a debit card any time of day. Currently, ATM cards with personal identification numbers (PINs) are required. The proposed system replaces ATM cards with mobile subscriber identification modules (SIM) cards, allowing users to perform ATM transactions using just their SIM. This would eliminate the need for multiple cards and PINs while providing increased security through SIM-based authentication. Some advantages include storing multiple applications on a single SIM and stronger security than magnetic stripe cards. A disadvantage is the SIM would need to be removed from the phone for each transaction.
Imts
IMT allows users to instantly transfer money from their bank account to another person's mobile phone. The sender only needs the recipient's mobile number, and does not need any other account details. After the sender initiates the transfer through their bank, the IMT system sends a unique code to the recipient's phone. The recipient can then go to any participating bank ATM, enter their phone number and code, and withdraw the cash. IMT makes money transfers fast, easy and secure by using the banking system and ensuring only the intended recipient can pick up the funds.

Anti-money laundering procedures are also discussed, covering money laundering activities, stages of money laundering like placement, layering and integration.

In this talk, Dr. Cori Faklaris of UNC Charlotte provides an overview of current AI capabilities and weaknesses to consider when integrating current AI technologies into the data workflow. The talk is organized around three takeaways: (1) For better or sometimes worse, AI provides you with “infinite interns.” (2) Give people permission & guardrails to learn what works with these “interns” and what doesn’t. (3) Create a roadmap for adding in more AI to assist nonprofit work, along with strategies for bias mitigation.
