In China, because of the uneven distribution of medical resources, the lack of grass-roots doctors‘professional level, patients with disorders, which is not conducive to the development of telemedicine industry, online healthcare service stat later than other developed countries.
First, the scale of online healthcare service has expanded further. On the one hand, China's aging population continues to increase, the number of chronic patients is growing rapidly, and the time of treatment is long, service demand is large, stimulating the market demand for telemedicine increased. On the other hand, the popularization of mobile medical terminals, the development of medical Internet of Things and the increasing participation of medical institutions will also promote the continuous expansion of the scale of telemedicine. The Prospective Industry Research Institute predicts that the market size of the domestic telemedicine industry will exceed 23 billion yuan in 2023.
Second, the rate of medical reimbursement is expected to increase steadily. Although insufficient medical reimbursement has always been considered a major obstacle to the implementation of telemedicine, the current changes are driving the expansion of telemedicine. In the future, we will see more health insurance institutions and health insurance advantages planned to cover telemedicine services.
Third, telemedicine services are increasing. Mature telemedicine services can range from counseling, supplementary prescription drugs, management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD and congestive heart failure to data transmission and storage of imaging data, access to second counseling advice, and remote bi-directional vision for emergency, trauma, stroke, and intensive care. Executive Brief: Proposal of New Economic Opportunity
The primary objective of Whilborne Medical Center (WMC) has always been to deliver
high-quality health care to the community. The medical center can take a step further in that
direction by setting up a new urgent care center (UCC) within its premises. A UCC is a health
care facility that provides immediate care, without a scheduled appointment, for injuries and
illnesses that are not life-threatening and do not require admission to the emergency department
(ED). The key characteristics of a UCC are reduced wait times, increased service hours, reduced
costs, and quick service (Chang et al., 2015).
WMC is located in an area that has around 3,000 locals whose urgent care needs may be
met by the UCC. Additionally, WMC, being located near Maxima Industrial Park, receives a lot
of cases of work-related injuries (e.g., minor burns, sprains, cuts, and abrasions) and other minor
illnesses (e.g., fever, headache, ear infection, abdominal pain, and respiratory illnesses) that
require immediate attention. Currently, such cases are handled by the medical center’s ED,
which leads to overcrowding and reduced efficiency. Once the UCC is set up, such cases can be
diverted to the UCC to ease the burden on the ED at the medical center.
Outcomes of Starting an Urgent Care Center
WMC has always strived to focus on the six areas of health care quality—timeliness,
safety, patient-centeredness, efficiency, equity, and effectiveness—stated by the Institute of
Medicine (IOM). Setting up a UCC will help the medical center achieve its vision of improving
community health and delivering superior health care, irrespective of patients’ cultural
background, age, gender, and socioeconomic status (Agency for Healthcare Research and
Quality, 2016).

The new line of service will be convenient for patients with noncritical conditions that
require immediate attention. They will not have to wait for several hours as they do at the
medical center’s ED. They will be able to walk in without an appointment and avail after-hours

critical, life-threatening medical cases; it will also improve the efficiency of the ED and the

ABSTRACT
Introduction: E-health is relatively a recent term and can be shuffled with health informatics. It engulfs all forms of
digital and electronic processes found in healthcare provided via information and communication technology (ICT)
channels. This study is an attempt to find out the level of utilization and effectiveness of e-health in Saudi Arabia due
to the vast number of citizens, residents and pilgrims dependent on the present healthcare system. Aim: 1. To assess
the utilization status of electronic health (e-health) in Makkah city hospitals. 2. To measure the usefulness of e-health
in delivering good healthcare in Saudi Arabia. 3. To find out the challenges cum barriers in implementing e-health
services in Saudi Arabia. Methods: A randomized study was carried out in three important hospitals in the Makkah
Region. The entire number of samples collected for this study was 51. They belong to the administrative and medical
staff in the hospitals and comprise of those staff who handle the daily operations of delivering healthcare services to
the patients. Results: The hospitals - King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC), King Faisal Hospital (KFH) and Al Noor
Specialist Hospital are using e-health but in different capacities. The main challenges are the costs and expertise
of such innovative systems in information technology apart from the lack of computer and technical expertise of
the hospital staff. Conclusion: E-health is widely used nowadays and is playing a dynamic and modern role in the
delivery of healthcare in Saudi Arabia. This study brings out the e-health utilization and application in the health
sector. It has exhibited that most of the clinical departments are utilizing e-health at an optimum level.

The Faculty Association of AIIMS has written to the institute director requesting that new recruitment of 118 assistant professors be put on hold. The association argues that there is not enough office space and residential facilities to accommodate more new hires, as 14 doctors have resigned in the last two years due to lack of work space and logistical issues. However, AIIMS administration claims that new hires are needed to address the increased patient load and allow faculty more time for research. - 3. Summary This article is about health services improve with new hospitals set to open. For years, people who live in the Northern Emirates have travelled great distances from their homes to get medical services, from heart check-ups to giving birth. The FNC last year criticized the Ministry of Health for a shortage of medical services and inadequate health facilities in the area. To the residents' delight, the ministry has announced that several new hospitals and healthcare centers will open soon in the Northern Emirates and provide much quicker access to doctors, nurses and technicians. Also, the emirate of Umm al Qaiwain in particular has experienced an acute shortage of medical services. Until last month, expectant mothers were being transferred to hospitals in other neighboring emirates for deliveries. The only available hospital had no working gynecologist for several weeks. Hospital officials said they had increased the number of gynecologists on staff to nine. However, as the Ministry of Health makes concerted efforts to boost the number of healthcare facilities in the Northern Emirates, some healthcare professionals are questioning how the ministry intends to employ the workforce needed to staff those facilities."Masafi Hospital has been ready for quite some time now, but it has still not opened. The biggest problem is the medical workforce that needs to be hired and the question is, can the Ministry of Health hire the staff required to open all those hospitals?" asked Dr Sultan al Muezzin, the head of the FNC's committee on health, labour and social affairs.
