- It is very important to consider designing web sites with tablet and mobile technology in mind, as Forrester Research shows the # of US tablets sales to go from 10.3 million in 2010 to 24.1 million in 2011. Tablet sales are forecast to grow to 44 million units sold by 2015 when 82 million people in the US will own a tablet, one third of the online population (reported by TechCrunch on January 4, 2011.)\n
- According to Morgan and Stanley, not only does the chart show high growth predictions over the next five years, but the mobile and tablet arena will be taking over the PC arena...so it is more important now to make sure your website is accessible and viewable by these devices.\n\n
- Not only individuals are using tablets and mobile devices more but by this chart, we see that companies are allowing their employees to utilize the devices at work and the tablets and Mobile technology is growing on the corporate level.\n\n\n
- We are seeing growth and prediction of more Tablets and Mobile devices (with Tablets in the lead)..we are seeing that when people use their tablets, they are using the tablets to do more consumption of material, therefore, content is an extremely important platform to market with, as consumers will make their buying decisions from this consumption of information.\n\n
- As a business, we all know we are going global...but to furthur emphasize the importants to market to mobile and tablet devices...this chart shows the usage outside of the US and this is even a larger arena!\n\n
