This document summarizes a project proposal to address the deprivation of young people in the labor market in Rumuekpe, Nigeria. The problem is that over 1,400 youths lack voice and influence in the labor market. The aim is to move young people from deprivation to inclusion by establishing a toolkit for labor market participation. Objectives include developing educational opportunities on inclusion, establishing professional skills for enterprises, and giving youth opportunities to participate more in the workforce. The expected result is empowered and included young people in the labor market.

While conducting needs assessment survey in Rumuekpe community in Nigeria, it was noticed that the
community has no involvement of young people in the labor market. (World Health Organization
2011) According to statistics, more than 1,400youths are deprived of voice and influence in matters to
do with the labor market. (United Nation Organization, 2011) In such community, it will be important
to provide young people with professional skills on how to address their participation in the labor
market. This will result in an increase of young people in the labor market.

Expected result: At the end of the project, young people will be empowered and be included in the labor market
